Bio
John Becksvoort was automatic for Tennessee as a four-year starter, earning All-America status his junior year and setting records with his unique kicking style. It was his junior year of 1993 when Becksvoort hit 59-of-59 extra-point attempts to set Southeastern Conference and Tennessee records. He made 12-of-13 field goals and led the league in scoring with 95 points, averaging 8.6 points per game. Becksvoort wrapped up his career as one of Tennessee's most accurate kickers. He was a perfect 161-of-161 on extra-point attempts, setting an NCAA record for consecutive PATs.

1992 - SOPHOMORE
- Honored as a finalist for the first-ever Lou Groza Award
- Remained spotless at UT in extra point attempts, connecting on 35 straight and then hitting five in the Hall of Fame Bowl
- He ended the season at 63-for-63 over two-year period
- Ranked fourth in the SEC and 20th nationally in scoring with 7.6 average on 83 points
- Won the AT&T Long Distance Award with 53-yard field goal against Arkansas - it was his career-best and went unmatched in the SEC during the 1992 season
- Perfect on field goal tries through the first six games, and went 16-for-23 over the span of the season abd hit a career-high four kicks against Memphis
1991 - FRESHMAN
- Vols' leading scorer with 73 points on 28-28 PATs and 15-21 field goals during the regular season
- Added a pair of PATs and a 24-yard field goal in the Fiesta Bowl
- Hit a season-long 44-yarder against Auburn and also hit from 30 and 26 yards as the Vols pulled out a 30-21 victory
- Tied the school record by going 7-for-7 on extra points against Memphis
- Booted three field goals against Kentucky and two each versus Florida, Alabama and Ole Miss
HIGH SCHOOL
- All-State as a senior after connecting on 6-of-11 field goals and 50-of-55 extra points
- Longest kick was for 47 yards against McCallie in his junior season
- For his career, he had 163 points with 16-of-28 field goals
