COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Tennessee men's tennis team dropped a road tilt at fifth-ranked Ohio State Friday night, 4-0.

The Buckeyes claimed a 1-0 advantage after winning the doubles point, before winning three first-set tiebreaks en route to taking the match. The Vols (6-1), dropped doubles matches on courts two and three, ahead of singles action. In singles, the Buckeyes (6-0) won on courts three and four, before clinching the match on court two.

UT senior Martim Prata fell to #42 James Trotter, 6-0, 6-1 and Tennessee junior Angel Diaz was defeated by #14 JJ Tracy, 7-6(4), 6-3. The clinch came on court two as #10 Johannus Monday was bested by Ohio State's #21 Cannon Kingsley, 7-6(7), 7-5.

Freshman Shunsuke Mitsui was in a second-set tiebreak, after winning set one, as the match concluded. Singles matches of Adam Walton and Emile Hudd also went unfinished.

Tennessee returns home for a two-match homestand against Charlotte on Saturday, Feb 12 and Columbia on Sunday, February 13. First serve for both matches is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
