- Placed 16th in the 100 butterfly (47.09)
- In relays, finished sixth in the 200 medley relay (1:23.74) and 12th in the 200 freestyle relay (1:16.79)
SEC MEET RECAP
- Placed eighth in the 100 butterfly (45.61) and 15th in the 50 freestyle (19.94) in final conference meet
- Part of the second-place 200 medley relay team (1:23.02) and the third-place 200 freestyle relay team (1:17.00), his first career SEC medals

- Broke the school record in the 100 butterfly, winning the event at the Tennessee Invitational in 45.46

NCAA MEET RECAP
- Part of the 200 freestyle relay team that won the consolation final to finish ninth (1:23.64) and the 200 medley relay team that finished 15th (1:17.44) to earn CSCAA honorable mention All-America honors
- Took 21st in the 100 butterfly (46.05) and 31st in the 50 free (19.53)
SEC MEET RECAP
- Recorded fourth-place finish in the 100 butterfly in a career-best time of 46.01. The time helped him qualify individually for the NCAA meet.
- Placed 17th in the 50 freestyle -- winning the C final -- in a career-best time of 19.67. It was 0.20 faster than his prelim time.
- Just missed scoring points in the 100 freestyle, finishing 26th overall (44.21).
- In relays: fourth in the 200 medley relay (1:24.08), sixth in the 200 freestyle relay (1:17.64), sixth in the 400 freestyle relay (2:52.94) and seventh in the 400 medley relay (3:07.99).
DUAL MEET RECAP
- During the fall semester, recorded NCAA B-cut times in the 100 butterfly at three meets, including a fall-best 48.24 against North Carolina in the season opener. He also swam his first NCAA B-cut in the 50 free of the season in the fall home finale against Auburn (20.12)

VOLEADERS ACADEMY
- One of the members of the inaugural class of the VOLeaders Academy, a leadership-through-sports training program. After a year of leadership classes and training, the year culminated with a trip working with youth and non-profit sports organizations in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, before the Olympic Games.

NCAA MEET RECAP
- Earned Honorable Mention All American Honors by leading off the 11th place 200 freestyle relay
- Earned First Team All American Honors by swimming the butterfly leg of the school record setting 6th place 400 medley relay
- Added a second First Team All American mark by swimming the butterfly leg of the 6th place 200 medley relay
- Added another Honorable Mention All American Mark by swimming the third leg of the 12th place 400 freestyle relay
- Member of the 200 yard freestyle relay earning 50 team points with a (1:18.20) final
- Helped earn 50 team points for the 400 yard medley relay (3:07.41)
- Swam a career best split (44.38) in the 400 yard freestyle relay earning 46 team points with a team final of (2:54.13)
- Swam a career best time in the 100 yard freestyle (43.55)
- Set a new personal best in the 100 yard butterfly with a (47.33) final time
- Earned his best finish of (19.89) in the 50 yard freestyle
2014-15 - FRESHMAN
- Along with teammates Sam McHugh, Peter Stevens and Evan Pinion, Coetzee helped UT's 'B' Relay team to a third-place finish in the 200 Medley Relay at UNCW.
- Earned a fourth-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle with a 21.80 time at UNCW.
- Earned a pair of new career-bests at QU and UNC in the 50 Free (21.20) and the 100-yard Freestyle (51.16)
- Swam the third leg of both the 200 MR and 400-yard freestyle relay to help UT earn two third place finishes
- Earned a career-best (46.78) during his 100-yard split of the 400 FR
- Broke his prior best time in the 100 Fly against IU/UK (50.37)
- Earned three new career-best times at his first Nike Cup appearance: 20.56 in the 50 Free, 45.83 in the 100 Free and 48.65 in the 100 Fly
- Competed in the 100 Fly A final at Nike Cup, finishing 8th
- Earned a season-best third place in the 100 Fly at Texas A&M, finishing in 49.19
- Tied his previous best finish in the 50 Free, finishing fourth at A&M (20.72)
- Swam a career-best 44.71 split to help his relay team capture first place in the 400 free relay at A&M
- Swam a career-best 20.39 split to help his relay team capture first place in the 200 free relay at LSU
- Finished the season No. 9 in UT history in the 100 fly
SEC RECAP
- Tied for 21st in the 50 free (20.16) after winning a swim-off to make it to the C final
- Set a career high in the 100 free prelims (44.09) and then finished 23rd in the C final
- Set a career high in the 100 back prelims (47.13) and then finished 16th in the consolation final
PRIOR TO TENNESSEE
- Placed fifth in the 50-meter butterfly and seventh in the 100-meter butterfly at the 2013 FINA Junior World Championships in Dubai.
- In 2013, he later placed second in the 100 butterfly at the South African Senior Championships. He set the South African -- and African -- record in the 50 butterfly in 23.91. He was part of South Africa's third-place 400 medley relay team.
