- Top times included: 4:27.75 in the 500 free (Tennessee Invitational) and 15:25.04 in the 1650 free (Tennessee Invitational). The mile time was an NCAA B-cut.
2016-17 - SOPHOMORE
SEC MEET RECAP- Placed just two spots outside scoring in the 1650 free, taking 26th in 15:18.35
- Finished 37th in the 400 IM (4:00.49) and 39th in the 500 free (4:27.55)
DUAL MEET RECAP
- Competed in five meets during the fall semester and top times included: 4:35.63 in the 500 freestyle (Kentucky/Indiana), 9:21.02 in the 1000 freestyle (Auburn), 15:28.73 (NC State GAC Invitational) and 4:07.60 in the 400 IM (Auburn).
- His 1650 time at the NC State GAC Invitational was an NCAA B-cut (15:28.73).
2015-16 - FRESHMAN
SEC MEET RECAP- Swam the 1650 yard freestyle with a final time of 15:38.97, placing 27th
- Placed 43rd in the 500 free (4:32.95)
- Recorded two career bests in distance freestyle at the Tennessee Invitational to conclude the fall season, swimming 4:32.02 in the 500 freestyle and 15:34.66 in the 1650 freestyle.
PRIOR TO TENNESSEE
- Placed third in the 1000-yard freestyle at the 2015 Speedo Champions Series in Ithaca, NY. Rice finished with a time of 9:33.70.
- At the 2014 Speedo Champions Series in Ithaca, NY, Rice place second in the 1650-yard freestyle, swimming a time of 15:39.33.

- Rice on Why Tennessee: "Freshman year was one of the most physically and mentally challenging years of my life. As a UT student-athlete, you're expected to perform athletically and academically at the highest level. In the beginning, I was extremely overwhelmed, but my teammates, coaches and the athletic department gave me everything I needed to succeed. While freshman year was one of the most challenging years of my life, it was also the most fun."
