SEC MEET RECAP
- Scored in the 1650 freestyle, placing 16th with a time of 15:03.49
- Also finished 26th in the 500 free (4:23.29) and 46th in the 200 free (1:40.79)
DUAL MEET RECAP
- Competed in eight meets during the regular season, recording three race victories
- Top times included: 4:26.19 in the 500 freestyle and 15:02.63 in the 1650 freestyle

- Placed 29th in the 1650 free (15:03.47) and 45th in the 500 free (4:22.87)
SEC MEET RECAP
- Best finish came in the 1650 freestyle, where he took sixth (14:54.35). It was his highest finish at SECs in his career
- Also took 22nd in the 500 free (4:22.78) and 36th in the 400 IM (3:58.51).
DUAL MEET RECAP
- Recorded a pair of NCAA B-cut times in the 1650 freestyle during the fall semester: 15:15.96 (USA Swimming Winter National Championships) and 15:18.64 (NC State GAC Invitational).
- Top time in the 500 freestyle during the fall was 4:25.70 at the NC State GAC Invitational.

- During the summer of 2015, competed in both the Pan American Games, and FINA World Championships
- At the Pan American Games, won the silver medal in the 10k

- Placed 29th in the 1650 freestyle (14:55.77)
- Finished 52nd in the 500 freestyle (4:28.65)
SEC MEET RECAP
- Finished 11th in the 1650-yard freestyle, earning 16 team points with a final time of 15:03.24
- Took 34th in the 500 freestyle (4:27.22)
DUAL MEET RECAP
- Three top freestyle times came at the Tennessee Invitational: 500 freestyle in 4:24.14, the 1000 freestyle in 9:02.12 and the 1650 freestyle in 14:55.77.

NCAA MEET RECAP
- Earned first honorable mention All-America honor by taking 14th in the 1650 free (14:53.36)
- Placed 50th in the 500 free (4:23.03)
SEC MEET RECAP
- Swam in first postseason after being limited by injuries the year before
- Took seventh in the mile (14:55.82), his best finish of the meet.
- Also placed 39th in the 400 IM (3:57.90) and 45th in the 500 free (4:30.66).
DUAL MEET RECAP
- In his first race of the 2014-15 season, Heron broke UNCW's 19-year-old pool record by swimming a 9:11.21 time in the 1000-yard freestyle, placing himself eighth in UT history in the event.
- Earned a pair of top-4 finishes at Queens, including a second-place finish in the 1000-yard freestyle (9::19.18) and a fourth-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle (4:41.78)
- Set a career best time of 4:29.82 in the 500 Free against IU and UK
- Swam in the 1650-yard freestyle for the first time this season and earned a victory (15:24.13) against IU and UK
- Earned a NCAA b-cut time in the 500 Free prelims (4:24.38) and finished eighth in the A final (4:31.59)
- Finished in second place in the 1650 free, swimming a 14:57.94, a season-best and a b-cut time
- Heron holds second place all-time in UT history in both the 1000 Free (9:04.34) and the 1650, only trailing teammate Evan Pinion.
2013-14 - FRESHMAN
DUAL MEET RECAP
- Started his fall semester in Dubai at the FINA World Junior Championships, where he placed sixth in the 1500-meter freestyle (15:22.81).
- Competed in five meets during the fall, concentrating on the distance freestyle events
- Won the 500 freestyle twice and the 1000 freestyle three times during the fall meets
- Won both the 500 and 1000 freestyle events against South Carolina to earn SEC Freshman of the Week honors
- He swam his first NCAA b-cut time to end the semester at the Georgia Tech Invitational, finishing the 1650 freestyle in 15:22.09 to take second.
PRIOR TO TENNESSEE
- Teamed up again with associate coach Tyler Fenwick, who had previously served as Heron's club coach for the Mission Viejo Nadadores before joining the Volunteers' staff
- Enjoyed a dominant year in open water competition in 2012, winning the 10k race at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships
- Won the 5k and placed third in the 10k at the 2012 Open Water Nationals
- At the 2012 USA Swimming Olympic Trials, he finished 22nd in the 1500-meter freestyle
- Continued to excel in 2013 in both the pool and open water. He finished seventh in the 1500-meter freestyle (15:24.54) at the U.S. Open. Also took seventh in the 5K race at the USA Swimming Open Water Championships.
- Placed 11th in the 1500-meter freestyle at the 2013 U.S. Swimming World Championship Trials
- He is a member of the 2012-13 USA Swimming National Junior Team
- Attended Mission Viejo High School, where he was a member of the swimming team for four years
