2017-18 - SOPHOMORE
DUAL MEET RECAP
- Competed in the seven meets during the dual meet season, again focusing on the 100 and 200 breaststroke
- Best 200 breaststroke time of the regular season came in the regular-season finale against Florida (2:00.35) and best 100 breaststroke was at the midseason Tennessee Invitational (55.41)
- At the Last Chance Meet to conclude the year, swam even faster at 1:58.46 in the 200 breast and 54.33 in the 100 breast
2016-17 - FRESHMAN
DUAL MEET RECAP- Swam in five meets during his first fall season, primarily swimming the 100 and 200 breaststroke. Best times came in the dual meet fall finale against Auburn, swimming the 100 breaststroke in 57.69 and the 200 breaststroke in 2:05.21.
PRIOR TO TENNESSEE
- Clance is a breaststroker who has participated in the 2015 junior national meet, competing in the 200 and 100-yard breaststroke
- He was a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American in 2014 and 2015
PERSONAL
- Birthday: April 6, 1998
- Jared on Why Tennessee: "Tennessee felt like the perfect school for me as soon as my recruiting visit started. I had an immediate connection with the coaches and team, and I loved everyone I met. The standards of the team fit perfectly with my swimming goals, and I know that it will be the perfect environment for me to continually improve. I was extremely impressed with the amount of academic resources that will be available to me, and I'm confident that I will be able to excel both in swimming and in academics."
- Kredich says: "Jared is a rapidly improving breaststroker who we think is going to have a real impact in the SEC. He's got a great work ethic, a great sense of humor, and is a fantastic student. Jared's desire to learn will be a great fit with our breaststroke training group."
