KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The eighth-ranked Tennessee men's tennis team is geared up for its Senior Day contest vs. No. 20 South Carolina on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET at Barksdale Stadium.

The Vols (18-4, 7-1 SEC) cranked out a gritty win over No. 21 Alabama on Friday, fueled by a 7-5 comeback win from seventh-ranked Johannus Monday and Angel Diaz in doubles play.
In singles, fifth-ranked Monday took down the Crimson Tide's No. 42 Planinsek in decisive 6-3, 6-3 fashion atop the lineup, and Diaz routed Dimic, 6-1, 7-6(2), on court six to tally his fifth conference win of the season. Li defeated his second ranked opponent of 2024 with a 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 victory over No. 84 Aguiard on court three. No. 40 Mitsui served out a bagel in his final set to beat Zimnokh, 0-6, 7-6(3), 6-0, at the No. 2 spot.

South Carolina (11-9, 4-4 SEC) is coming off a 4-3 road victory over Georgia on Friday. No. 21 Toby Samuel boasts an 11-4 record atop the lineup and is 7-4 vs. ranked opponents this year. Lucas De Silva currently is on a five-match winning streak, holding a 9-6 mark at the No. 5 and 6 spots. Samuel and his partner, Casey Hoole, ranked 19th as a pair, are 8-4 at the No. 1 spot, defeating four ranked opponents in 2024.
