Vol Tennis Reveals 2026 Spring Schedule
October 20, 2025 | Men's Tennis
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Men's Tennis Head Coach Chris Woodruff announced his team's spring schedule on Monday, and the Volunteers will open the 2026 portion of the campaign with their first four matches taking place at home.
Â
The slate consists of 26 matches, including 11 vs. non-conference foes. Seven of those schools made the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
Â
The Big Orange returns Jose Garcia, Jan Kobierski, Woodson McMillin and Alejandro Moreno from a squad that finished 22-9 overall and 9-5 in SEC play a year ago, advancing to the NCAA Super Regional. Six newcomers, including three transfers and three freshmen, make up the remainder of the roster.
Â
The Vols open the campaign with a four-match homestand in January. The first two contests are part of a doubleheader against ETSU on Jan. 9. UT then will face the national champion and national runner-up from last season in Wake Forest and TCU, respectively, just two days apart.
Â
Next, Tennessee will head to Raleigh, North Carolina, for ITA-Kickoff weekend, hosted by NC State. The Vols will open against Texas A&M and then face either NC State or Duke.
Â
Closing out January, the Vols will play a doubleheader against Bellarmine and EKU at Goodfriend Tennis Center on Jan. 29.
Â
February will begin with a trip north to face Michigan and Michigan State. Next, the Vols will compete at the ITA National Indoor Championships in Texas on Feb. 13. The opponent and whether UT plays in Waco or Dallas will be determined by seeding.
Â
Conference action gets under way on Feb. 21 and 23 with back-to-back tests at Kentucky and Vanderbilt. UT also travels to Mississippi State, LSU Texas, Texas A&M and Ole Miss.
Â
At home, Tennessee will play its first SEC match vs. Auburn on Feb. 27. It will follow on March 1 with a doubleheader against Oklahoma and Belmont. Other league visitors to Rocky Top include Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. The match vs. the Gators also will be part of a doubleheader, with Tennessee State as the second opponent on that date.
Â
The SEC Championships will be held April 15-19 in College Station, Texas, with the NCAA Tournament to follow.
