Vols Finish Strong at Bulldog Invitational

ATHENS, Ga. – Day three of the Bulldog Invitational concluded for the Tennessee men's tennis team Sunday, with three Vols in action.
In consolation doubles, junior Angel Diaz and graduate student Mark Wallner—now 4-1 as a pairing this season—defeated Georgia's Miguel Perez Peña and Britton Johnston, 8-6.
Singles consolation action saw a Big Orange matchup of Diaz and freshman Conor Gannon, with Diaz taking the match, 6-1, 6-4. Wallner took down South Carolina's Jake Beasley, 6-4, 6-3, as the Vols wrapped up competition in Athens.
The Vols compete at the Fighting Illini Invitational this week in Champaign, Illinois, from Oct. 15-17.
