Tennessee Falls at Home, 4-0, to No. 12 TCU

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.– The 22nd-ranked Tennessee men's tennis team fell at home, 4-0, against No. 12 TCU on Wednesday at Barksdale Stadium.
Tennessee (10-4, 1-2 SEC) began the day dropping the doubles point with Scott Jones and Pat Harper falling to the 56th-ranked doubles pair, Alastair Gray and Alex Rybakov, 6-4, on court two.
In back-and-forth fashion, No. 36 Timo Stodder and Preston Touliatos fell, 6-4, to the No. 18 doubles pair, Bertus Kruger and Reese Stalder. On court three, Tennessee's Adam Walton and Martim Prata led 5-4, before their match went unfinished.
In singles action on court four, Luca Wiedenmann fell to Kruger in two sets, 6-3, 7-5. With the court four victory, TCU took a 2-0 lead on Tennessee.
Prata was defeated in his match against TCU's Luc Fomba, 6-1, 3-6, 7-5. Tennessee freshman, Harper fell to Sander Jong, 3-6, 7-5, 6-3 as the Horned Frogs won the match, 4-0.
Stodder, the 59th-ranked singles player in the nation, took the first set against No. 7 Rybakov, winning 6-3. Stodder dropped the second set 7-5, before the third set went unfinished, with Stodder leading 3-0. Matches between No. 93 Walton and No. 26 Gray, along with Jones and No. 115 Stalder of the Horned Frogs went unfinished as well.
TCU improves their record to 10-3, with their fifth consecutive victory.
UP NEXT: The Vols host No. 24 South Carolina on Friday, with the first serve set for 6 p.m. Tennessee continues their three-game homestand with a match against No. 8 Florida on Sunday at 1 p.m.
