Vols Win Singles and Doubles Titles at Georgia Tech Invitational

ATLANTA – Three Vols claim titles on the final day of the Georgia Tech Invitational Monday as Giles Hussey won in singles and Pat Harper and Jordan Chrysostom teamed up to win in doubles.
On the singles side, Hussey won his fourth match in three days, defeating Davide Tortora from Mississippi State in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4. With the win, the graduate transfer claimed the White draw title.
The Swindon, England native began his run with a win over Miami's Franco Aubone in two sets before knocking off James Ignatowitch of Vanderbilt in the quarterfinals. Hussey took down Clemson's Teodor Giusca in the semifinals, setting up his finals match with Tortora.
In doubles, the tandem of Harper/Chrysostom proved to be an effective pairing as they swept through the Olde Gold draw to win the title, defeating Florian Broska and Stedman Strickland from Mississippi State, 7-6(6), in the final.
Harper and Chrysostom locked in their finals spot on Saturday, winning matches over Georgia's Alex Phillips/Samuel Dromsky and Macsen Sisam/George Harwell from Vanderbilt.
Chrysostom also played singles on Monday, taking on Phillips in the Navy draw's third place match. The freshman defeated the Bulldog, 6-4, 7-6(6).
Mark Wallner was also in action down in Atlanta, playing singles and doubles. He met Thomas Brown in the Olde Gold consolation draw, beating the South Carolina Gamecock in three sets, 4-6, 6-4, 10-1. He teamed up with Hussey in doubles, but the pair fell to Auburn's Diego Chavarria and Tim Dollman, 6-4.
The Vols wrap up the weekend with 19 wins between all four players in singles and doubles with Chrysostom leading the way with six total wins.

The Vols will have a week of training before traveling to Nashville for the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals hosted by Vanderbilt.
