Vicky continues to do everything we ask of her to the best of her ability. I have absolute faith as a result of the changes, courage and commitment she has displayed over the summer that she is in for an outstanding year.
AT TENNESSEE:
2006-07: Went through the whole regular season with all top-10 placements, including three runner-up and five third-place finishes...Established new lifetime bests from all three heights, placing second in the one-meter (271.95) and 21st from the platform (272.80) at the Bulldog Invite and earning third from three meters (313.65) at Florida...Is now the 12th-best performer in Lady Vol history from the one-meter and 13th from the three-meter...2005-06: Tallied 38 points, the third-highest total on the squad, for the Lady Vols at the 2006 Southeastern Conference Championships...Linnell qualified for the championship finals in platform diving, bringing home seventh...Additionally, she claimed ninth from three meters and 11th from one meters...Made her first appearance at the NCAA Zone 'B' Diving Championships...Nearly advanced to NCAAs after placing 11th in the platform diving competition...Picked up a pair of runner-up showings in the Lady Vol triumph over Northwestern...Swept the boards in her initial collegiate meet to help UT defeat Louisville to christen the season...Also tasted victory from the three-meter boards in the Big Orange[apos]s narrow loss to Florida.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Fashioned a fourth-place finish at one-meter and a 12th-place result in the three-meters at the highly-competitive 2004 Australian Open Nationals...Claimed runner-up honors in the three- and fourth place in the one-meter at the 2002 Junior Australian Championships...Named the 2003 Southern Australian Sports Institute Diving Athlete of the Year...At the 2002 National Junior Invite, Linnell registered a second-place showing from three meters and a third-place effort at one-meter...That same year, she earned fourth place at three meters and 10th at one meter at the Youth World Diving Championships...Brought home a fourth-place finish on the three-meter board while competing in the 2003 Western Pacific Rim Junior Championships.
