'Ashley has the type of personality that our team rallies around. She is our team leader in the weight room and on land, and is emerging as the same type of leader in the pool. She is on the verge of becoming an elite freestyle swimmer, and I believe we[apos]ll witness that final step this year as she takes ownership over this team. '
AT TENNESSEE:
2007-08: Went to the NCAA Championships for the first time as an alternate...Swam her best times in the 50y (23.39), 100y (51.47) and 200y (1:53.66) free at the SEC Championships...Is 11th on the all-time Lady Vol list in the 50y free...Started the season with a third-place finish (23.96) at Louisville in the 50y free...Also took third in the event versus Northwestern...Was the fifth-fastest performer on the team in the 50y free...Helped five relays take top-three honors over the course of the year, often swimming the leadoff leg...Earned a spot on the SEC Academic Honor Roll...2006-07: Swam as an alternate at the SEC Championships and inspired her team with a career-best time of 23.83 in the 50 freestyle...Established a career best at the Bulldog Invite with an eighth-place 52.52 in the 100y freestyle...Anchored the 200y free relay team[apos]s third-place finish and the 200y medley relay team[apos]s fourth place effort...2005-06: Swam fastest when it mattered most, charting three season-best times at the SEC Championships...Also posted a season-best effort at the Bulldog Invite, a last chance meet...Member of three relays which banked points for Team Orange at the Purdue Invite, including the 10th-place-finishing 200y freestyle relay.
