2014-15 - FRESHMAN
DUAL MEET RECAP- Made his debut at Queens, where he cracked the top-4 in the 100-yard freestyle (46.84)
- Earned three career-best times at UNC in the 50-yard freestyle (21.42), 100 Free (46.78) and 200-yard freestyle (1:42.28)
- Made two new career-best times against IU and UK in the 200 Free (1:41.97) and his leg of the 400-yard freestyle relay (45.45)
- Swam in two A finals at the Nike Cup, finishing 7th in the 50 Free (20.39) and 8th in the 100 Free (44.96)
- Earned a NCAA b-cut time in the 400 Free Relay, thanks to his career-best 44.18 split
- Also swam a career-best in the 200 Free Relay; his 19.86 split helped UT's A relay team win the event
SEC RECAP
- Won the C final in the 50 freestyle to place 17th overall in 19.90.
- Narrowly missed qualifying for the C final in the 200 freestyle, taking 26th in 1:36.99.
- Part of the fourth-place 200 freestyle relay team, swimming the leadoff leg. Also swam leadoff in the 400 freestyle relay, helping the Vols to fifth.
PRIOR TO TENNESSEE
- Semifinalist in the 100-meter freestyle at the 2013 FINA World Junior Championships (50.83).
- Trained with the Davie Nadadores and also worked with Azura Florida Aquatics.
- His father, Dean Romany, was the manager of Trinidad & Tobago's junior world championship team.
- Among Romany's goals is qualifying for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
