• Graduated from Oconee County High School where he was coached by Stan Fricks.• Named a 2012 Rawlings Southeast Region Honorable Mention.
• Listed as the 67th best prep player in Georgia by Perfect Game in 2012.
• Led Oconee County to a Class AAA state playoff berth as a senior, hitting .432 with 20 RBIs and four home runs.
• Hit .402 with a .566 on-base percentage, 38 runs scored, 14 RBIs and 18 walks as a junior.
• Was an Athens Banner-Herald All-Area first team selection in 2011 and 2012.
• Played on Team Georgia during the summer of 2011 and on Team Elite 18U in 2012.
• As a sophomore, batted .458 with a team-high 45 RBIs, a .597 on-base percentage and 52 runs scored.
