LEXINGTON, Ky. – Forty-five Tennessee track & field athletes have traveled to Lexington, Kentucky, to begin NCAA postseason competition at the East Preliminary Rounds this week. The four-day regional meet is scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, through Saturday, May 30, at the University of Kentucky Outdoor Track & Field Complex.

The Big Orange will have a program-record 49 entries at the meet, including an East Region-best 29 on the men's side. The Vols and Lady Vols are slated to compete in 26 events over the course of the competition, with the top 12 finishers in each event advancing to the NCAA Championships, set for June 10-13 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.

Streaming coverage will begin each day with running events on the track, starting at 6 p.m. ET Wednesday and Thursday and 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

RANKED VOLS: In the latest installment of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Track & Field Rating Index, the men of Tennessee were ranked No. 9 while the Lady Vols were tabbed No. 14.

UP NEXT: The top-12 finishers in each event at the NCAA East Prelims will advance to the NCAA Division I National Championships, which will be held June 10-13 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
