KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee men's tennis team opens its spring dual season with a doubleheader against in-state foe ETSU on Friday at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET at Goodfriend Tennis Center.
UT has maintained steady success over the past few years, coming off a fifth straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament round of 16 and registering its fifth occasion during that stretch with 20+ wins during the regular season.

SCOUTING ETSU
The Vols are opening against an opponent from The Volunteer State for the second season in a row after beginning the 2025 spring campaign against Tennessee Tech. UT, which has a 43-match win streak vs. the Bucs, last played ETSU on May 3, 2024, earning a 4-0 win in the NCAA First Round in Knoxville. East Tennessee brings in a talented roster with two doubles pairings ranked in the top 100 nationally. Oscar Martinez and Martin Vergara check in at No. 61, and Oscar Martinez and Juan Listo come in at No. 84.

MEET THE TEAM
Tennessee features a roster of 10 players this season, as Coach Chris Woodruff begins his ninth season at the helm. His squad features three seniors and one graduate, including returner Alejandro Moreno, transfers Ethan Muza and Boruch Skierkier, and European Dragos Cazacu. Rounding out the roster are sophomores Jose Garcia, Jan Kobierski and Piotr Siekanowicz, redshirt-freshman Woodson McMillin and freshmen Anas Bennour Dit Sahli and Shion Itsusaki. Moreno, Garcia and McMillin are all Knoxville natives who look to add on to their second year on Rocky Top.
CHECKING UP ON THE FALL SEASON
The Big Orange saw action in six tournaments over the fall. Tennessee collected 36 singles wins and 30 doubles victories during the fall campaign. Alejandro Moreno and Boruch Skierkier highlighted the singles performances, with Skierkier winning seven matches and Moreno claiming six triumphs.
WELCOME THE NEW GUYS
Tennessee opens the dual season with seven newcomers. Four impact transfers and three eager freshmen look to find a way to help the Vols this year.
