AUBURN, Ala. – The No. 4 Tennessee men's tennis team returns to action for a Friday afternoon bout with SEC foe and 39th-ranked Auburn. First serve from the Yarbrough Tennis Center is slated for 3 p.m. ET.

Attendance at the Yarbrough Tennis Center will be limited to those on the player and staff pass list for Friday's match.
LAST TIME OUT
Last time out the Vols dropped their first SEC match of the dual season, falling at Florida, 5-2. After a tough dropping of the doubles point, Florida, earned victories on courts six, four and five to clinch match point at 4-0.
The Vols responded with a pair of wins from freshman Johannus Monday and junior Martim Prata at No.'s 2 and 3.
Monday's victory over No. 8 Sam Riffice (1-6, 6-4, 6-4) marked his fifth straight win and his ninth over a ranked opponent in singles play during the dual season.
Senior Adam Walton fell in a hard-fought three-set match on court one to cement the afternoon's final score.
SCOUTING AUBURN
Auburn enters Friday's match with victories in its last two outings and broke into the rankings for the first time this dual season.
Friday's meeting will be the 59th time the programs have gotten together, with Tennessee holding a 41-17 series lead and earning wins in the teams' last two meetings.
The last times the programs met, the Vols downed the Tigers, 5-2, in Knoxville and was in the midst of what would become a nine-match win streak towards the end of the 2019 dual season.
STREAKING JOMO
Freshman Johannus Monday has knocked off nine ranked opponents this season and has won five consecutive singles matches, all of which have come over ranked opponents.
The Hull, England native is also a perfect 5-0 in SEC play and has had his last seven singles wins have come over ranked foes. It's a streak dating to Feb. 12 that began with a win over North Carolina's Rinky Hijikata.
