CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – After a resounding Fall season, the Tennessee men's tennis team opens up its Spring slate with a trip to Chapel Hill, North Carolina for the Tar Heel Challenge, Jan. 10 and 11.
The two-day event will be a round-robin format featuring players from Tennessee, North Carolina and Charlotte, with each school taking part in both doubles and singles matches each day.

North Carolina concluded the shortened 2019-20 season as the second ranked team in the final ITA team rankings.
In the Fall, the Vols compiled an overall team record of 63-16 (.797) in singles and 27-12 (.692) in doubles.
The senior duo of Andrew Rogers and Mark Wallner were each a perfect 6-0 in singles play and as a tandem on the doubles court, were nearly unblemished finishing with a record of 6-1.
Graduate students Giles Hussey and Luca Wiedenmann finished the Fall with the two best singles records, finishing the season with marks of 9-1 and 8-1 respectively. Wiedenmann is riding an eight-match win streak heading into the Spring.
Freshman Johannus Monday was also impressive in his first Fall on Rocky Top, finishing with a record of 7-2 in singles play, while winning his final six matches of the season.
Junior Pat Harper put together the most complete Fall, appearing in all three tournaments, while compiling an overall record of 14-2, finishing with 7-1 ledgers in both singles and doubles.
Entering the Spring, Widenmann is just nine wins away from becoming just the 10th ever Vol to eclipse 100 career singles triumphs.
Senior Adam Walton is just two singles wins away from breaking into the top-20 of the program's career singles wins list.
Up next, the Orange & White will return to Knoxville to open up dual match play with a Saturday doubleheader against Oklahoma and Tennessee Tech. First serve from the Goodfriend Tennis Center is set for 10 a.m. ET against Oklahoma and 2:30 p.m. ET against Tennessee Tech.
