Men’s Tennis Central: No. 11 Ole Miss/Austin Peay

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – No. 19 Tennessee welcomes two teams to Barksdale Tennis Stadium on Sunday as No. 11 Ole Miss and Austin Peay come to Rocky Top.
The Vols and Rebels are scheduled for a 1 p.m. ET first serve with the match against the Governors following at 4 p.m.
Admission is free to all regular-season matches and parking is available in Lot N-12 which is located at the corner of Lake Avenue and Volunteer Boulevard. A live stream as well as live results will be available for the match by visiting the men's tennis schedule page on utsports.com or on Twitter (@vol_tennis).
Tennessee's clear bag policy will be in effect.
Tennessee (12-2, 1-1 SEC) won on Friday night in its SEC home opener against No. 41 Mississippi State, 6-1. Pat Harper continued his hot streak, improving to 4-0 in singles since entering the lineup in early February.
RANKED VOLS
Junior Adam Walton is 11-1 this season and comes in at No. 31 nationally. Walton has played six ranked opponents this spring, winning four of those match ups.
In doubles, Giles Hussey and Andrew Rogers enter the weekend at No. 50, moving up two spots from 52nd.
WIEDENMANN CLOSER TO THE TOP 20
Senior Luca Wiedenmann won his 81st career singles match Friday night, which moves him to just three wins shy of breaking into Tennessee's top 20 all-time. On the year, the Munich, Germany native is 11-3 overall and 1-1 in SEC play.
SCOUTING THE REBELS
Ole Miss enters the matchup at 10-3 overall and 1-1 in league action after falling to No. 10 Georgia Friday in a 4-1 decision. The Rebels have faced seven ranked opponents this season, going 4-3 with wins over Illinois, Oklahoma State, Princeton and Alabama.
UM opened SEC play with a 4-3 win over Arkansas as their meeting with Alabama came in the Blue-Gray National Tennis Classic and did not count towards either teams SEC record.
Tim Sandkaulen is the only Rebel ranked in the ITA singles poll, checking in at No. 68. Sandkaulen and Finn Reynolds rank 17th nationally in doubles.
SCOUTING THE GOVERNORS
Austin Peay is 4-8 coming into Sunday's meeting and has lost its last two matchups. The Governors do not have anyone ranked in the ITA in either singles or doubles.
SERIES HISTORY VS. OLE MISS
Sunday will be the 57th meeting all-time between Tennessee and Ole Miss with the series knotted up at 28-28. The Vols have gotten the better of the Rebels as of late, winning the last three meetings.

Tennessee and Austin Peay have met nine times with the Vols winning each matchup. The last meeting came in 2018 and ended in a 4-0 Big Orange victory.
