KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The 16th-ranked Tennessee men's tennis team returns to action Sunday at noon ET against Wichita State at the Goodfriend Tennis Center.
Admission is free to all regular-season matches and parking is available in Lot N-12 which is located at the corner of Lake Avenue and Volunteer Boulevard. A live stream as well as live results will be available for the match by visiting the men's tennis schedule page on utsports.com or on Twitter (@vol_tennis).
Tennessee's clear bag policy will be in effect.
UT (8-1) is coming off a Friday doubleheader which saw it defeat Georgia State and Mercer in back-to-back 7-0 sweeps.
As the calendar flips to the second month of the dual match season, four Vols remain unbeaten in singles. At 8-0, No. 23 Adam Walton is riding a season-long eight match win streak and is one win shy of tying the longest winning streak of his career.
Graduate transfer Giles Hussey is just behind, standing at 5-0 in singles play. Junior Mark Wallner is 3-0 on the year and freshman Finn Stodder is 1-0.
SCOUTING THE SHOCKERS
Wichita State brings a 5-2 record to Knoxville, which includes a 4-3 win over Arkansas on the road in Fayetteville. WSU has won four-straight matches, beginning with the win over the Razorbacks, and defeated Georgia State on Saturday in a neutral site match played at UT's Goodfriend Tennis Center.
Orel Ovil is the Shockers lone ranked player coming in at No. 122 in the ITA men's singles rankings.
Tennessee and Wichita State will be meeting for the sixth time in program history and for the second-straight season. The Vols won last year's meeting in Knoxville 5-2 and lead the all-time series 3-2. UT has won three consecutive matches over WSU dating back to 1983.
