Vols Open Fall Schedule at Gamecock Invitational

COLUMBIA S.C. – After a six-month layoff, the Tennessee men's tennis team takes to the courts for its first tournament of the Fall at the Gamecock Fall Invitational.
The Big Orange will compete against SEC foes South Carolina (host), Kentucky and Georgia.
The event will be played in a round-robin format with each participating school having the opportunity to play in up to nine singles matches and four doubles contests during each of the three days of competition.
An individual singles champion and a doubles team champion will be announced at the conclusion of the invite.
Live streaming of every match will be provided through YouTube.
The 2020-21 Tennessee roster features a mix of experience and young talent with eight returners from last season's squad and five newcomers.
Highlighting the returners is senior captain Adam Walton. The Home Hill, Australia native was ranked as high as 13th in singles action after boasting a 26-5 record.
Graduate student Luca Wiedenmann also highlights UT's list of returners. With one win in singles play this weekend, Wiedenmann will break into the top-20 in career singles wins with 84
triumphs.
This weekend will begin Chris Woodruff's fourth full season at the helm of his alma mater, with the hopes of continuing the Orange & White's recent success.

Following this weekend's action in Columbia, UT will take a three-week break before traveling south to take on Mississippi State (host), Alabama and Ole Miss at the Bulldog Challenge in Starkville, Mississippi.
