SOCCER CENTRAL: #19 Vanderbilt

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The 9^th-ranked Tennessee Volunteers are set for a nationally ranked in-state rivalry matchup against league-leading No. 19 Vanderbilt on Sunday, Oct. 7. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Regal Soccer Stadium.

Admission and parking for all matches at Regal Soccer Stadium is free of charge. Gates will open at 4 p.m., and fans should be reminded that UT's clear bag policy will be in effect.

Sunday's matchup will be nationally televised on ESPNU, with Drew Fellios and former Virginia Tech standout Morgan Conklin on the call. An online version of the broadcast can be found at this link, while live stats will be provided via SIDEARM Stats.

Promotions for the match include a rivalry T-Shirt giveaway for the first 300 fans in attendance, as well as 'Soccer Sundae' - the first 100 kids in the gate will receive a voucher for a scoop of ice cream and access to a toppings bar. UT Fan Experience will also be putting on a free Kids' Corner prior to the match.

LAST TIME OUT: Tennessee (10-1-1, 4-1 SEC) earned its fourth-straight conference victory with a 2-0 shutout at Florida Thursday night. The win marked UT's first over Florida since 2011, and the first in Gainesville since 2006.

Vol forwards Danielle Marcano and Erin Gilroy tallied goals against the Gators, while goalkeeper Shae Yanez hauled in six saves in her seventh solo shutout of the season.

VOLS HONORED FOR ACADEMIC SUCCESS: The Tennessee soccer program was honored by the United Soccer Coaches with the Team Academic Award Thursday morning, recognizing exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2017-18 academic year. With a 3.37 team GPA, the Vols earned their first Team Academic Award since 2015.

GOOD LUCK, BUNNY: Tennessee senior Bunny Shaw has rejoined the Jamaican Women's National Team for the 2018 CONCACAF Women's Championship, hosted by the United States from Oct. 4-17. The top-three confederations from the eight-team tournament earn an automatic bid to the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France.

SERIES HISTORY: Vanderbilt (12-1, 5-0 SEC) owns a 13-9-4 edge in the all-time series, including a five-match unbeaten streak against Tennessee since 2014. The Commodores hold a +7 goal differential over the Vols across 26 matchups since 1996.

LAST YEAR VS. VANDY: Tennessee suffered a pair of one-goal losses to Vanderbilt in 2017, including a 1-0 defeat in the first round of the SEC Tournament. The Vols outshot the Commodores 21-2 in that matchup, surrendering the lone goal of the match on a penalty kick in the 50^th minute.

COMMODORES STREAKING: Vanderbilt brings a program-record 12-match win streak to Rocky Top this weekend, sitting atop the SEC standings with a 5-0 record in league play. The Commodores dropped their only match in the season opener 1-0 at No. 10 Florida State on Aug. 16.

Across the 12-match streak, Vanderbilt has outscored its opponents 31-6 with seven shutouts. The Commodores recently took down No. 25 Mississippi State for their first ranked win on Thursday night.

SCOUTING VANDERBILT: Redshirt-freshman forward Haley Hopkins ranks second in the SEC with 22 points on nine goals and four assists, while junior forward Kaylann Boyd's seven goals are tabbed sixth in the league. Junior goalkeeper Lauren Demarchi tops the conference with a 0.26 goals-against average and a .931 save percentage.

UP NEXT: Tennessee hits the road for Athens, Ga. next week, taking on the Georgia Bulldogs on Friday, Oct. 12. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m., and the match will be broadcast on SEC Network+.
