- Made indoor debut at Indiana-Tennessee Dual (1/6), finishing ninth in 3000m in 11:08.42
- Competed in the 1500m at the Tennessee Challenge (5/5), finishing eighth with a time of 5:07.01
2017 CROSS COUNTRY
- Ran in all six of Tennessee's races
- At NCAA South Regional (11/10), finished in 23:17.90, finishing 182nd (seventh on team)
- Finished 118th (seventh on team) at SEC Championship (10/27) in 24:01.80
- Ran fastest 6K of career at Paul Short Run (9/29), finishing 247th in 22:46.00
- Opened season with 13th-place finish (19:21.29) in 4K at Tennessee-Louisville Dual (9/2)
2017 TRACK AND FIELD
Outdoor- Recorded a new personal best in the 3000m competition at the Tennessee Challenge as she posted a time of 10:46.38 and took fifth place
- Notched a mark of 18:39.09 in the 5000m race at the Tennessee Relays
- Posted a time of 11:01.69 as she finished second place in the second heat and 13th overall in the women's 3000m competition at the Tennessee Rust Buster
2016 CROSS COUNTRY
- Recorded a time of 20:02.30 at the Greater Louisville Classic
- Finished the 3-mile Tennessee Dual race with a time of 20:23.40
PERSONAL
- Cassidy Louise Giles, daughter of Carol and David Giles, was born on Nov. 19, 1996
- Has four siblings named Nicholas, Christian, Johnson and Elliot
- Her father was a member of the Tennessee cross country and track and field teams
- Majoring in plant sciences with a concentration in landscape design
- Member of the Dean's List, National Honors Society, yearbook staff and Teen Board of Knoxville while in high school
- Named the 2015 Student of the Year for South-Doyle
- Two year captain of the cross country and track and field teams in high school
- Plays the piano and the ukulele
