INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE
- World Record Holder in 50 Free (25m) - 19.90
- 2022 & 2024 Short Course World Champion (50 Free)
- Became the first person ever to swim sub-20 seconds in the short course 50 free during the Short Course World Championships in Budapest, clocking a 19.90 effort during the semifinals; Went on to defend his world title in the event.
- Made Cayman Islands history when he became the first swimmer ever from the country to advance to an Olympic final, placing eighth overall in the 50 free—an event he broke the national record (21.51) in during prelims. Also advanced to the semifinals in the 100 free.
- Participated in the 50 and 100 free on behalf of the Cayman Islands at the 2023 World Championships, placing in the top seven in both and qualifying for the 2024 Paris Olympics in the process.
- Earned the title of World Champion when he won the 50 free at the 2022 FINA Short Course World Championships, becoming the first swimmer ever from the Cayman Islands to medal at a major championship; Also advanced to the finals in the 100 free at the meet.
- Ranks as the No. 4 all-time performer in the 50 free SCM and is 12th in the 100 free SCM.

2024-25 - SENIOR

- Named the 2025 SEC Co-Swimmer of the Year after enjoying one of the best seasons ever by a Vol swimmer.
- On the international stage, Crooks was an Olympic finalist in Paris before defending his world title in the 50 freestyle at the Short Course World Championships, becoming the first swimmer ever to go sub-20 seconds in the event by posting a World Record mark of 19.90.
- During the collegiate season, he broke three NCAA records, won three national titles, brought home five SEC gold medals and garnered All-America status in seven events.
- Joined Jeremy Linn (1995, '97, '98) as the lone Vols in program history to win multiple SEC Swimmer of the Year awards.
- At 2025 NCAA Championships...
- Stood atop the podium in the 50 free, clocking a 17.91 to outpace the next fastest swimmer by 0.32 seconds and once again garnering the title of national champion; he became the fourth Vol in school history to win the event twice.
- Member of the 400 free relay team that broke its own NCAA record with a time of 2:42.30, earning the national title in the event for the first time since 1979; Recorded the fastest 100 free relay split of all time (39.36) to anchor the lineup.
- Part of the 200 free relay team that won the national title for the first time in school history with a time of 1:12.84, breaking the NCAA Championship meet record; Led off the relay with a career-best 17.82 effort, which marked the second-fastest time in NCAA history.
- Broke the NCAA record for the 100 free during prelims with a time of 39.83 and clocked a 40.06 effort to earn a silver medal and his best finish ever in the event.
- Clocked a time of 1:20.50 in the 200 medley relay to earn silver and the program's best finish in the event in 24 years.
- Was part of the 400 medley relay team that posted the third-fastest time in school history at 3:01.40.
- At 2025 SEC Championships...
- Blasted a 17.85 in the 50 free, improving his school record in the event; with the victory, he became the first swimmer in SEC history to win four straight titles in the 50 free and is just the 10th athlete to achieve the feat in any event.
- Took sixth in the 200 free behind a 1:31.88 effort.
- Brought home gold as a part of the 200 medley relay team, which clocked a 1:20.22 effort to shatter the school record by more than one second, marked the No. 2 effort in NCAA history and set a new SEC Championship Meet record; threw down the second-fastest 50 free split of all time with a mark of 17.42.
- Was part of the 200 free relay that clocked a staggering time of 1:12.80 to blow past the previous NCAA record of 1:13.35 held by Florida.
- Took home silver as part of the first Volunteer 400 medley relay to swim under three minutes, clocking a time of 2:59.69.
- Was a member of the first Volunteer 400 medley relay team to swim under three minutes, clocking a time of 2:59.69 to bring home silver.
- Tied for first in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:23.96 in the season opener against No. 11 Louisville (10/24/24). This is the ninth-fastest mark in program history.
- Picked up a pair of wins in the contest against Louisville in the 50 free (19.07) and 100 fly (45.76). He also clocked a time of 2:49.23 in the 400 free relay which is the fifth top time for the event in program history.
2023-24 - JUNIOR
- Top times from season: 50 free (17.99), 100 free (40.39) and 200 free (1:30.41).
- Notched six All-America certificates during the NCAA Championships (3/27-30/24).
- For the third consecutive season, medaled in the 50 free with a mark of 18.09 to claim silver.
- Also added podium finishes in the 100 and 200 free, including setting a school record during 200 free prelims with a mark of 1:30.41.
- Was a member of three podium-finishing relay squads, helping set school records in the 200 and 400 free relay.
- Earned a gold medal in the 50 free (17.99), as well as five silver and one bronze medals in the 100 free (41.06), 200 free (1:31.17), 200 free relay (1:14.81), 400 free relay (2:46.11), 200 medley relay (1:21.82) and 400 medley relay (3:01.27) at the SEC Championships (2/19-24/24).
- Was a part of four program records that fell during the week in the 100 free, 200 free, 200 free relay and 400 medley relay.
- Claimed two individual victories in the 50 free and 100 fly along with wins on 200 medley relay and 400 free relay squads during the win over LSU (1/27/24).
- Tallied two victories in the 50 free and 100 fly with times of 19.00 and 46.43 and finished second in the 400 free relay in a dual meet against No. 7 Georgia (1/20/24).
- Earned SEC Swimmer of the Week honors for the second time this season after securing five relay wins, three individual victories and breaking the school record in the 200 free with a blistering 1:32.07 leadoff split in the 800 free relay at the Tennessee Invite (11/15-17/23).
- Claimed SEC Swimmer of the Week honors after winning three events and tying the fastest time in the nation in the 50 free so far this season (19.02) against No. 3 Florida and No. 25 Kentucky (11/3/23).
- Swept both sprint freestyles as well tallying a 400 free relay victory during the dual meet against No. 13 Texas A&M (10/27/23).
- Started his junior campaign against No. 12 Louisville (10/12/23) by throwing down a 22.54 in the 50 LCM free to finish first in the event, a 24.18 third leg in the 200 LCM medley relay to help the Vols place second and was a part of a relay squad that swam a 3:20.49 in the 400 LCM free relay to take third.
2022-23 - SOPHOMORE
- Top times from season: 50 Free (17.93), 100 free (40.92), 100 fly (44.04), 100 back (45.55).
- National Champion, SEC Champion & Short Course World Champion in the 50 free.
- Etched his name into history during the SEC Championships, when he clocked a 17.93 time to win the 50 free; the mark is the second-fastest time in NCAA history and made him just the second person ever to swim sub-18 seconds in the event.
- Named the 2023 SEC Swimmer of the Year; One of only four Vols to ever win the award.
- Earned All-America First Team honors in all seven of his events at the NCAA Championships, becoming the first Vol to achieve that feat since Michael Gilliam in 2001.
- Received SEC Swimmer of the Meet and SEC Co-Commissioner's Trophy recognition for his performances at the SEC Championships.
- SEC Champion in the 100 free, 400 free relay and 200 medley relay in addition to the 50 free; Medaled in all seven of his events.
- Posted the fastest 50-yard fly split ever (18.90) during the 200 medley relay at SECs.
- 2023 NCAA Championships Recap:
- Won the national title in the 50 free, touching the wall with an 18.32 mark and becoming one of four Vols to win gold in that event.
- Shattered Tennessee's program record during the 100 free prelims, joining the sub-41 club with a 40.92 mark. He later tied for fifth in the finals going 41.03.
- Took fifth in the 100 fly, clocking in at 44.29 and jumping 21 spots from his finish as a freshman in 2022 (26th).
- Helped push the Vols to a program-record mark in the 200 free relay (1:14.68) to place fourth nationally.
- Was a member of the squad that notched a sixth-place finish in the 200 medley relay (1:21.59)
- Swam the third leg of the 400 medley relay (3:02.05) during a sixth-place finish, setting a new program record in the process
- Led the 400 free relay to a seventh-place finish in the 400 free relay with a 2:47.19 effort.
- 2023 SEC Championships Recap:
- Swept the sprint freestyle during the SEC Championships with a 17.93 in the 50 free and a 41.19 in the 100 free.
- Set a new Tennessee, SEC Meet and Texas A&M pool record in the 100 fly during prelims, touching the wall in 44.04; Won silver in the event during finals.
- Led the Vol relays to a pair of gold and silver medals.
- Brought home gold in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:21.43 while posting the fastest 50-yard fly split ever (18.90); Also ended the competition by becoming the first Tennessee relay since 2001 to be crowned SEC Champs in the 400 free relay thanks to a 2:46.25 effort.
- Took silver in the 200 free relay (1:15.34) and 400 medley relay (3:02.51)
- Earned SEC Swimmer of the Week honors five times during the season.
- Won 17 individual races during the season (6x 50 free, 6x 100 fly, 3x 100 back, 2x 100 free).
- Garnered his final SEC Swimmer of the Week honor for the season after winning a combined seven races to lead the Vols to a pair of wins over 11th-ranked Georgia (1/21/23) and Carson-Newman (1/19/23). Against the Bulldogs, he clocked the top time in the 100 back (46.32) and 100 fly (45.71)—the latter of which ranked as the top time in the SEC and fifth fastest in the NCAA for the week. His lone individual event against Carson-Newman was a victory in the 100 back, where he posted a 46.25 effort for the fastest unsuited time in the SEC for the week.
- Took home his fourth SEC Swimmer of the Week award after posting the best time in the 100 back (46:09) and 100 fly (45.42) against Missouri (1/7/23).
- Received his third SEC Swimmer of the Week honor after his impressive performances during the Tennessee Invitational (11/17-19/22), during which he set two individual then-program records (50 free, 100 fly) and was a member of three relays (200 free, 400 free, 400 medley) that notched the then-fastest times in Tennessee history; Also threw down the third-best time in Tennessee history in the 100 back, touching the wall in 45.55 to post the top mark in prelims for the event before scratching the final.
- Posted a first-place finish in the 100 fly (46.82) and second in the 50 free (19.58) during the meet against Florida (11/5/22) and pushed the Vols to a win in the 200 medley relay (1:25.95).
- Earned SEC Swimmer of the Week honors after winning the 50 free (19.35) and 100 fly (46.04) at Louisville (10/20/22).
- During Tennessee's meet against NC State (10/14-15/22), he took home first in the 50 free and threw down a 42.72 100 free split to help UT win the 400 free relay.
- Named SEC Swimmer of the Week after recording two individual wins at UNC Wilmington (10/1/22) in the 50 free (19.36) and 100 fly (46.81); Also a member of the fastest 200 medley relay (1:28.35) and the 200 free relay (1:20.27) lineups.
2021-22 - FRESHMAN
- Top times from season: 50 free (18.53), 100 free (41.16), 200 free (1:35.04), 100 fly (45.33), 100 back (47.25).
- Owns the fastest times ever by a freshman in the 50 free (18.53) and 100 free (41.16), both of which are also Tennessee program records.
- Set the program record in the 100 fly (45.33) and was member of the 400 free relay (2:48.46) and 400 medley relay (3:04.01) lineups that broke school records.
- His top times in the 50 free and 100 free ranked second and fourth, respectively, in Division I for the season.
- Named SwimSwam’s Breakout Swimmer of the Year.
- Earned All-America recognition in five events: 50 free, 100 free, 200 free relay, 400 free relay and 400 medley relay.
- First Team All-American in both events after finishing tied for third in the 50 free and placing fifth in the 100 free, only freshman in the country to qualify for the A finals in either event.
- Tied for third in the 50 free final with a mark of 18.60, which was just 0.04 seconds off the first-place time; Marked best placement by a Vol in the event since Ricky Busquets took second in the 1996 championships.
- Anchored the 400 medley relay, touching the wall in a program-record time of 3:04.01 to finish 13th overall.
- Part of the 400 free relay that finished 16th behind a 2:49.85 mark, ranking second in program history.
- Took 16th in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:16.67, which ranks fourth in the Vol record books.
- Led the Vols to their best SEC Championship finish since 2001, tying for second.
- Helped score 307 points overall for the team, including 87 individual points, with seven medals won throughout the week.
- Won gold in the 50 free with his 18.53 time shattering the program record, marking the fastest time ever by a freshman and making him the fifth-fastest person ever in the event; First Vol to win event since Ricky Busquets in 1996.
- Brought home silver in the 100 free and bronze in the 100 fly at SECs.
- Earned podium finishes in all four of the relays he competed on at the SEC Championships, taking silver in the 200 free relay and 400 free relay and bronze in the 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay.
- Won 10 individual races throughout the year.
- Notched two first-place wins in the 50 free (20.02) and 100 free (43.84) against Georgia (1/11/22).
