- Competed in nine meets in what was her busiest season of competition, setting career bests in all six of her events
- Swam two new career best during UT Invite in 50 free (25.11) and 200 free (1:54.44)
- Improved her best time in the 100 freestyle at Virginia Tech, placing third in 51.34
- Primarily swam the 500 freestyle for the Lady Vols, recording four top-8 finishes: UNC Wilmington (5:15.98; 4th); Virginia Tech (5:09.83; 6th); Georgia (5:13.73; 8th) and Vanderbilt (5:09.72; 3rd)

- Swam three individual events at the SEC Championships, setting a career best in one
- Dropped five seconds off her best 500 freestyle time of the year, finishing 40th in 5:02.88
- Also competed in the 100 freestyle (54.15; 60th) and the 200 freestyle (1:54.72; 59th)

- Also grabbed third in the same event at South Carolina
- Competed in seven meets on the year, mainly swimming events as exhibitions.

SEASON RECAP
- Swam sixth-place times in the 500y free and 1000y free against Arkansas
- Had three top-five finishes against the Cumberlands, including swimming a leg of the winning 200y free relay squad and notching third in the 200y free
- Swam exhibitions in the 100y, 200y and 500y free events at the SEC Championships
- Placed sixth in the 200y free against second-ranked Georgia
- Grabbed seventh in the 200y free versus Louisville and at Kentucky
- Named to the SEC Freshmen Academic Honor Roll.
PRIOR TO TENNESSEE
- Led Harpeth Hall to a runner-up team finish at the 2010 Tennessee Swimming and Diving Championships
- Placed fourth in the 200y free, seventh in the 500y free and anchored the 200y free and 400y free relays to second and third-place finishes
- Earned All-America honors from 2007-2009
- Swam a leg for the 400y free relay squad that broke the Tennessee state record in 2008
- Was a member of the Harpeth Hall team that won the 2007 State Championships
- Named Harpeth Hall Rookie of the Year as a freshman
- Competed for the Nashville Aquatic Club on the club circuit
- Earned NISCA/Speedo All-American honors as a member of the 200y free relay in 2009 and 400y free relay in 2008.

- Grace Anne McDonough Sanderson, daughter of Richard Sanderson and Mary Margaret McDonough, was born Dec. 20, 1991, in Nashville, Tenn.
