- Appeared in 23 of 30 games, averaging 10.0 minutes per outing as the backup point guard.
- Compiled 22 rebounds, 20 points, 16 assists, 10 steals and one block in 230 total minutes of playing time.
- Dished out multiple assists four times, with four twice, as well as pulled down multiple rebounds in seven outings, notched multiple steals thrice and scored five-plus points twice.
- Notched 11 assists and just four turnovers, a 2.75 ratio, in 135 minutes of OVC play, across 13 appearances.
- Tied a season high with four assists in 22 minutes of court time against Southeast Missouri State (2/3/22).
- Scored a season-best nine points on 4-of-5 shooting at Belmont (1/29/22), adding two rebounds and a co-season-high two steals.
- Set or tied season highs in assists (four), steals (two) and minutes (23), as well as scored five points, versus Carver College.
HIGH SCHOOL
- Four-year letter winner at Cleveland High School helped his team to a 106-19 (.848) record during his career, including three Region 3-AAA championships and two state tournament appearances.
- Three-time all-region designee, including twice winning region MVP, and three-time all-district selection, who totaled 1,469 points to finish his career fifth in school history.
- Averaged 18.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game as a senior and collected TSWA All-State accolades, en route to an appearance in the BCAT Tennessee All-Star Game.
- Scored 30-plus in his final two games, including posting 32 points and eight rebounds against Collierville in the TSSAA Class AAA state quarterfinals, and received All-State Tournament Team distinction.
- Hit two 3-pointers in the final minute of the TSSAA Class AAA section to lead his team to a 46-43 comeback win over Blackman.
- As a junior, aided his team to 29 straight wins, a No. 1 state ranking and a 33-1 final record, before the COVID-19 pandemic canceled the state tournament.
- Posted a 35-point triple-double against McMinn County during his sophomore campaign, during which the team went 23-4, earned a ranking of third in the state and, aided by his game-winning buzzer-beater, claimed the district title.
- Graduated from the same school as former NBA and Tennessee guard Vincent Yarbrough, a three-time All-SEC performer during his 1998-2002 career with the Volunteers.

- Full name is Grant Matthew Hurst.
- Born June 28, 2002, in Knoxville, Tenn.
- Parents are Matt Hurst, a banker, and Wendy Hurst, a teacher.
- Father scored 1,113 collegiate points, good for 10.5 per game, as an all-conference guard from 1993-96 at Mars Hill, a Division II school in North Carolina, at which he set single-game records that still stand for free throws made (23) and attempted (24) on 12/4/95 against Newberry.
- Mother, then Wendy Haneline, also earned all-conference accolades as a basketball player at Mars Hill.
- Has two younger sisters, Addison, a libero/defensive specialist on the South Alabama volleyball team, and Lauren, a member of the Tennessee women's basketball team.
- Joins Lauren to form the second brother/sister combination in Tennessee basketball history, alongside Nicky (2004-08) and E.J. (2020-21) Anosike, including the first to play at the same time.
- Three direct relatives—uncle Brett Hurst, aunt Jamie Hurst and cousin Mallory Hurst—attended Tennessee.
- Graduated from Tennessee in May 2025 with a degree in recreation & sport management.
- Enrolled in the agricultural leadership, education & communication master's program at Tennessee.
- Interests outside of basketball include camping, fishing, hiking, hunting and going to the lake.
