2011 - JUNIOR
Started the first 43 games of his junior campaign at shortstop before a bruised finger snapped his streak of 148 consecutive starts which had spanned 795 total days from start to finish. For the season, he was second on the team with a .330 batting average to go along with 19 RBIs and five stolen bases in 50 total games played.
Hit a team-high .313 during SEC play with six RBIs and three stolen bases.
Tallied 17 multi-hit contests, including a career-best four-hit game against in which he tied the school record with four singles against South Carolina on April 7, the first Thursday Night ESPNU SEC Game of the Week.
Lone home run of the year was hit against Alabama A&M on March 15.
Finished a home run away from the cycle against UNC Asheville on March 30 with a single, double, triple, two walks and three RBIs.
Became UT[apos]s all-time career leader in sacrifice bunts with his record-breaking 23rd coming against Auburn on May 21, the final day of the 2012 season.
2010 - SOPHOMORE
UT[apos]s regular starting shortstop as a sophomore in 2010, starting all 56 games at that position. Hit .286 for the year with five home runs, 25 RBIs and five stolen bases.
Struck out just 11 times in 206 at bats for an average of just one every 18.7 at-bats, making him the 19th toughest player to strike out in the NCAA.
Tallied his first home run of the season, a solo blast over the wall in left for UT[apos]s only run in a 17-1 loss to No. 10 Oregon State.
Posted the first two home run performance of his career and knocked in a career-high five runs in a 13-8 victory over Marshall on March 14.
Added another bomb, a grand slam, in the first inning against Morehead State just three days later and a solo shot against Belmont on April 27.
Recorded a career-best eight game hitting streak from March 27-April 7, going 10-for-29 (.345) during that span.
Spent his summer with the Hyannis Harbor Hawks in the prestigous Cape Cod League where he played in 39 games, hitting .209 with 27 hits, five RBIs and three stolen bases.
2009 - FRESHMAN
One of the most consistent and everyday freshmen on the team, he was named to the 2009 SEC All-Freshman team after hitting .281 with four home runs, 33 RBIs and four stolen bases in 55 games, including 54 starts at shortstop. Collected 18 multi-hit games and another nine multi-RBI games.
Batted a team-high .325 in SEC play with 37 hits, four doubles, four home runs and 24 RBIs.
Broke out of early-season slump by hitting 10-for-17 (.588) in five games the week of March 9, with four walks, two RBIs, three doubles and six runs.
During the Ohio series (March 6-8), he batted a team-high .692 (9-for-13) with three doubles, six runs, four walks and two RBIs.
Launched his first collegiate home run in the eighth inning of the Vols[apos] 6-1 victory over Mississippi State on April 10.
His second longball came at Arkansas on April 24, before hitting his first career grand slam against South Carolina on May 8.
Fourth and final home run of the year was also hit against the Gamecocks (5/10).
Was named the SEC Freshman of the Week after a stellar performance in the series against Vandy, during which he was 7-for-16 (.438) with a double and six RBIs.
HIGH SCHOOL
Graduated from Pleasure Ridge Park High School in Louisville, Ky., where he was coached by Bill Miller. Helped lead the Panthers to a 38-4 record, a state championship and a No. 15 final national ranking by Rivals.com as a senior in 2008.
Won the 2002 Little League World Series and was named MVP as a member of the Louisville team that was coached by his father.
