2011 - SOPHOMORE
Played in 45 games, starting 40 in left field for the Vols during his sophomore campaign. Hit .227 with a pair of home runs, 17 RBIs and three stolen bases.
Tied his career-long hit streak at four games March 8-12, kicking the run off with a career-best three-hit, four-RBI performance against New Orleans.
Blasted his first home run of the season in that game, which he followed up with three more hits the next day.
Also hit one in the final game of that streak against Manhattan.
Tallied multi-hit efforts against Presbyterian (4/5), Georgia (4/24) and Auburn (5/19) as well.
Spent his summer with the Alexandria Beetles in the Northwoods League where he hit .313 with fivehome runs and 39 RBIs en route to being named to the All-Star team.
2010 - FRESHMAN
Was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team after hitting .270 with three home runs in his rookie season. Played the most of any true freshman on the UT squad in 2010, seeing action in 46 games, including 26 starts.
Picked up his first career hit, a single, on Feb. 20 against Xavier.
Also laid down the first sacrifice bunt of his career on Feb. 21 vs. the Muskateers.
Made an unbelievable catch in the seventh inning at Oregon State on Feb. 27, diving to snag a deep shot to left, somersaulting on the warning track and relaying it back into the infield to double up the runner at first.
The play was rated ninth on ESPN[apos]s Top 10 'Plays of the Day' and voted 'More Athletic' than an Amar[apos]e Stoudemire dunk by voters on 'SportsNation' on March 1.
Recorded his first career RBI and second two-hit game with a pair of singles versus Eastern Kentucky on March 3.
Hit the first home run of his career, a towering, three-run shot to left against Binghamton on March 6.
His second home came against Ole Miss ace and future Cleveland Indians first-round pick Drew Pomeranz on April 2.
Also hit a longball in a 12-7 UT victory over MTSU on March 12.
HIGH SCHOOL
Named the Player of the Week by the Houston Chronicle twice in 2009. Tabbed a Houston Area Baseball Coaches Association All-Star in 2009.
Rated by PGCrosschecker as the No. 63 overall prospect in Texas.
Named All-Area Greater Houston by ESPN RISE Magazine in 2009.
Earned four varsity letters and three all-district selections at Cypress Ridge High School in Houston, Texas.
Hit .547 with four home runs, 25 RBIs and 12 stolen bases as a senior.
Batted .412 with nine home runs and 35 RBIs as a junior.
Holds Cypress Ridge career records for average, home runs and RBIs.
Played for the Georgia Roadrunners during 2008, winning summer nationals.
