- Tossed 4.2 strong innings on Opening Day against Arizona (2/17) at the MLB Desert Invitational, allowing just three hits while striking out seven, but was stuck with the loss, his first in a Tennessee uniform

- Named to the SEC All-Tournament Team after throwing 6.2 innings to beat LSU (5/27), striking out nine batters and allowing just four hits and one earned run in his ninth win of the season
- Improved to 10-0 after delivering a clutch performance in an elimination game during the NCAA Knoxville Super Regional (6/11), limiting Notre Dame to two runs on five hits across 7.0 innings, with five strikeouts and no walks
- Turned in six no-hit innings in the opener at Mississippi State (5/19) while the Vols won 27-2 in his eighth victory of the year; day finished after a long seven-run half inning for Tennessee, which led 21-0 when he was relieved
- Returned to the mound as a starter against Georgia (5/12), going 6.0 innings, allowing just one run on three hits while punching out six in his seventh victory of the season
- Tossed four innings in relief, recording five strikeouts vs. Kentucky (5/6)
