- Improved to 10-0 after delivering a clutch performance in an elimination game during the NCAA Knoxville Super Regional (6/11), limiting Notre Dame to two runs on five hits across 7.0 innings, with five strikeouts and no walks
- Turned in six no-hit innings in the opener at Mississippi State (5/19) while the Vols won 27-2 in his eighth victory of the year; day finished after a long seven-run half inning for Tennessee, which led 21-0 when he was relieved
- Returned to the mound as a starter against Georgia (5/12), going 6.0 innings, allowing just one run on three hits while punching out six in his seventh victory of the season
