2011 - JUNIOR
Played in 40 games in his first season at Tennessee, making 32 starts and hitting .278 with one home run and 16 RBIs. Made his first UT start and recorded his first hit as a Vol, a double, against Canisius on Feb. 25.
His first of seven multi-hit contests came against Morehead State (3/6) as he drove in a pair of runs and scored two more in a 10-8 UT win.
Also had a pair of hits at Lipscomb (3/23), vs. Mississippi State (5/8), vs. MTSU (5/10) and in three consecutive games vs. Belmont (5/17) and Auburn (5/19 and 5/20).
Longest hit streak of the season was nine games from Feb. 25-March 13, good for the third-longest streak by any UT player in 2011.
Lone home run came off of Georgia ace Michael Palazzone on April 23.
Spent his summer playing for the Anchorage Bucs in the Alaska Baseball League, where he hit a pair of home runs in 46 games.
JUNIOR COLLEGE
Played at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas, for two years where he was coached by Kent Shelley. Attended Missouri Western State University during the fall of 2008.
Helped lead the Cavaliers to a 43-14 record in 2009 as well as a 44-14 mark and a conference title in 2010.
Hit .387 with seven home runs and 58 RBIs in his freshman season.
Followed that up by hitting at a staggering .442 clip with 22 home runs and 92 RBIs as a sophomore, en route to earning Jayhawk Conference MVP, JCCC Male Athlete of the Year and NJCAA Honorable Mention All-American honors.
HIGH SCHOOL
Graduated from Blue Valley Northwest High School, where he was coached by Corby Lange. Was a two-sport star, earning two letters in football and three in baseball.
Named second-team Kansas 6A All-State in baseball as a senior.
Was a three-time All-Eastern Kansas League selection.
Earned first-team All-EKL accolades as a senior, and honorable mention his sophomore and junior years.
Also selected second-team All-Sun Country as a junior and first-team All-Johnson County his senior season.
Hit at a .450 clip with 30 hits and 10 doubles as a senior.
Named to the All-EKL first-team defensive team as a defensive end and the second-team offensive team at tight end his senior year.
Also garnered All-Johnson County honors in football and was an EKL scholar athlete.
