2011 - JUNIOR
Pitched in 17 games in his first season with the Vols, making three starts. Finished with a 1-1 record, one save and 15 strikeouts in 27.2 innings of work.
His 3.25 ERA was the best on the team among pitchers that had at least nine appearances.
Picked up a win in his UT debut, allowing just one run on three hits and striking out three in 3.0 innings against New Orleans on March 9.
Tallied a save in his next appearance with another three-inning effort, this one against Alabama A&M on March 15.
Longest outing of the season was 4.0 innings as he was saddled with a no-decision in a start against Middle Tennessee State on May 10 after yielding two runs on five hits.
Lone loss of the year was to Belmont on May 17 when he was touched for two runs (one earned) on two hits in 3.0 frames.
JUNIOR COLLEGE
Was the ace of the Indian River staff in 2010, going 6-5 with a 3.83 ERA in a team-high 77.2 frames spanning 15 appearances. Twice named the FCCAA Pitcher of the Week as a sophomore in 2009 when he made 11 appearances in his first collegiate campaign.
Posted a 3-4 record with a 4.12 ERA and 44 strikeouts in 59.0 innings of work.
HIGH SCHOOL
Graduated from American Heritage High School in Delray Beach, Fla., where he was coached by Carm Mazza. Lettered all four years and was a team captain in his final two seasons.
Was named the 2008 South Florida Sun-Sentinel 3A-2A-1A Player of the Year, Palm Beach County Player of the Year, all-state and all-county as a senior after going 10-1 with a 1.20 ERA and 90 strikeouts.
