#12 Lady Vols Ready for Midweek Clash with Bellarmine

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The No. 12 University of Tennessee women's tennis team (9-5, 5-4) is set to continue the 2026 dual slate Wednesday as it hosts the Bellarmine Knights (4-15) at Barksdale Stadium. First serve is slated for 2 p.m. ET.
Last week, Tennessee split its two weekend matchups, losing a 2-4 decision to then-No. 5 Texas A&M at home on Friday before defeating the then-No. 7 Texas Longhorns in Austin on Sunday, 4-2.
In UT's winning effort at Texas, Lady Vol freshman Katrina Scott bested the No. 1-ranked singles player in the nation, Carmen Herea, by a 7-6 (8-6), 6-2 score. Despite each of Scott's teammates losing their first sets in singles play, seniors Vanesa Suarez and Catherine Aulia each posted come-from-behind, three-set singles victories to earn the win.
Following the victory over the seventh-ranked Longhorns, the Lady Vols moved up six spots in this week's ITA rankings, now ranked at No. 12.
Scouting Bellarmine
Bellarmine owns a 4-15 record since the start of the 2026 dual season, most recently claiming a 4-2 victory over Ball State. The Knights have played four matches against SEC opponents in 2026 (0-4), playing double-headers against both Auburn (Jan. 11) and Kentucky (Feb. 18) in which they were swept in each of the four decisions. Junior Nikola Kollaritsch went an impressive 9-0 in competition this past fall season, earning her a singles ranking of No. 111 in ITA's Nov. 25, 2025 update. She is 12-4 this dual season, including an 0-2 ledger against SEC opponents.

All Lady Vol Tennis home matches are free to attend, and all seating is general admission. Home matches will take place at Barksdale Tennis Stadium and the Goodfriend Tennis Center on UT's campus. Fans can park at the nearby G7 lot on match days.
