Auburn Game Sold Out; Limited Tickets Remain for LSU
January 22, 2026 | Men's Basketball
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee announced Thursday afternoon that its Jan. 31 home game against Auburn is a sellout.
Tennessee (12-6, 2-3 SEC) will square off with Auburn (12-7, 3-3 SEC) at 8:30 p.m. at Food City Center on the final day of the month. The contest will serve as the program's annual "Checker" Food City game.
This is the fourth confirmed sellout of the regular season for the Volunteers, joining a Dec. 16 matchup with Louisville, a Jan. 17 outing versus Kentucky and a Feb. 28 meeting with Alabama. In addition, the Volunteers' Oct. 26 preseason exhibition against Duke also sold out.
Limited tickets remain for Tennessee's Feb. 14 contest versus LSU. Tickets are available for purchase HERE.

The Volunteers, who play in the third-largest on-campus arena in the country, are sold out of season tickets for 2025-26. For the seventh straight full-capacity campaign, Tennessee sold over 13,000 season tickets; it eclipsed 14,000 for the fourth straight year. In all seven of those seasons, the Volunteers finished top-eight in average attendance, including placing third last year at 20,026.
Thus far in 2025-26, Tennessee ranks fourth nationally with its 18,667 average attendance. It has hosted two of the five highest-attended games of the regular season at this point.
The Volunteers sold out eight games each of the last two seasons, setting and then tying a program single-season record. In 2024-25, Food City Center hosted eight of the top 18 regular season single-game crowds in the country, including two of the top four. The prior season, in 2023-24, it was home to four of the top six single-game tallies.
Across the last five regular seasons, Tennessee has played in front of 26 home sell-out crowds—three in 2021-22, five in 2022-23, eight in 2023-24, eight in 2024-25 and two in 2025-26—and tallied a superb 21-5 ledger in those affairs.
That mark includes a 16-3 ledger in the last 19 such contests, dating to Feb. 15, 2023. In total, the Volunteers are 28-8 in home sellouts in head coach Rick Barnes' 11-year tenure.
