December 16, 2025 | Men's Basketball
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee announced Tuesday afternoon that its non-conference, top-25 showdown with Louisville is a sellout.
No. 23/20 Tennessee (7-3) and No. 11 Louisville (9-1) will take the Food City Center floor this evening for a 7 p.m. tipoff.
This is the third confirmed sellout of the regular season for the Volunteers, alongside a Jan. 17 game against Kentucky and a Feb. 28 outing versus Alabama. The Oct. 26 preseason exhibition against Duke also sold out.
Limited tickets remain for Tennessee's Jan. 31 matchup versus Auburn and the Feb. 14 meeting with LSU. Seats for the former are available HERE, while tickets for the latter can be found HERE.

The Volunteers, who plays in the third-largest on-campus arena in the nation, are sold out of season tickets for 2025-26. For the seventh consecutive full-capacity season, Tennessee sold over 13,000 season tickets, including surpassing 14,000 for the fourth straight year. In all seven of those seasons, Tennessee has ended top-eight in average attendance, including finishing third last year at 20,026.
Tennessee sold out eight games each of the last two seasons, setting and then tying a program single-season record. In 2024-25, Food City Center hosted eight of the top 18 regular season single-game crowds in the country, including two of the top four. The previous season, in 2023-24, it had four of the top six single-game figures.
Across the last four regular seasons, Tennessee amassed 24 sellouts—three in 2021-22, five in 2022-23, eight in 2023-24 and eight in 2024-25—and tallied a superb 20-4 ledger in those affairs. That includes a 15-2 figure in the last 17 such contests, dating to Feb. 15, 2023. Overall, the Volunteers are 27-7 in home sellouts in head coach Rick Barnes' tenure.
