PENSACOLA, Fla. - No. 9 seed Tennessee will begin the SEC Tournament Sunday, facing off with eighth-seeded Kentucky at 5:30 pm ET at Ashton Brosnaham Soccer Complex.Â
In their last outing, the Lady Vols (8-5-4, 3-4-3) took a 1-0 victory at Florida. Sophomore Sarah Greiner found the back of the net for UT off assists from Dakota Brown and Nyla Blue.Â
With the win, Tennessee extended their win streak over Florida to eight matches. Additionally, Blue's assist was the first of her collegiate career.Â
TOURNAMENT TIME: The Lady Vols are 18-17-6 all-time in SEC Tournament games and have claimed five SEC Tournament titles, winning the event in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2008 and 2021.Â
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS:Â Kentucky, who is the eighth-seeded team in the Southeastern Conference Tournament, holds a 11-3-4 record on the season.
