Ally Brown Earns First Team CSC Academic All-America Recognition

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — College Sports Communicators announced Wednesday afternoon that Tennessee senior defender Ally Brown was selected by the organization as a CSC First Team Academic All-American.
Brown earned CSC Academic All-District honors in November and was advanced to the Academic All-America ballot that was voted on this month by CSC members. The organization recognized first-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees, and Brown was one of two SEC players to be named to the First Team.
The College Grove, Tennessee, native was tabbed the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year this past fall in addition to earning First Team All-SEC, First Team All-Region and Fourth Team All-America honors during her standout senior campaign. She served as captain of a Lady Vols squad that led the SEC and ranked 13th nationally with 13 shutouts this season to tie a program record. Majoring in finance with a concentration in supply chain management, Brown is a two-time CSC Academic All-District recipient and a three-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
Brown becomes the first Lady Vol to garner CSC Academic All-America honors since Michele Christy who was a first-team recipient in 2017.
