LAST TIME OUT
Tennessee picked up its first top-10 win of the season, defeating ninth-ranked Columbia in convincing fashion Friday, 4-1.
SCOUTING TEXAS A&M
Tennessee (13-6, 3-2 SEC) faces Texas A&M (11-7, 4-2 SEC) as the halfway point of its SEC schedule arrives. The Vols are 8-12 against the Aggies all-time, dating to 1974. Still, Tennessee has won three straight matches in the series, including a pair of 4-0 shutouts in 2021 and 2022.
The Aggies serve as the opponent in Tennessee's 20th match for a second consecutive season. Additionally, Texas A&M travels to Knoxville having won each of its last five matches, three of which were over SEC foes (Mississippi State, Arkansas and Alabama).
This year's March 26 clash with the Aggies succeeds last season's March 25 battle between the squads in College Station, Texas. Sunday marks one year and one day since Tennessee's dramatic, 4-3, come-from-behind win over Texas A&M on the road. The Vols trailed 0-3 before winning each of the remaining four singles courts. That win shaped the trajectory of the remainder of Tennessee's season, as UT was victorious in 12-of-14 matches starting with that comeback win.

HIGHLY-RANKED VOLS
• With the ITA's March 21 update of its singles and doubles rankings, Tennessee has had either a top-10 singles acclaim or a top-10 doubles pair in 20 of the past 21 dual-season rankings updates, dating to March 24, 2021. The Vols not only have each this week, but a pair of top-three rankings with Johannus Monday coming in at a career-best No. 2 singles ranking and the duo of Monday and Pat Harper earning a career-high doubles ranking as a pairing, at No. 2.
HUDD EYES THE CENTURY MARK
• With his doubles win with Shunsuke Mitsui against Columbia Friday, Emile Hudd collected the 92nd overall doubles win of his career. Over half of those wins (49-of-92) have come in Tennessee orange. Hudd earned 43 doubles victories while playing at Oklahoma State.
HISTORY IN SIGHT
• Harper, with 89 career overall doubles wins at Tennessee, is six wins away from cracking the top 10 on the program's all-time doubles wins list. Should he reach 100 career doubles wins by season's end, he would become just the ninth Vol to ever do so in a career.
JO MOMENTUM
• Monday, a two-time ITA Singles All-American and reigning SEC Co-Player of the Week, is a combined 26-3 in dual singles and doubles matches this spring. At 13-1 in singles and 13-2 on the doubles courts, 20 of those 26 total victories are at the No. 1 lineup spot (10-1 at No. 1 singles and 10-2 at No. 1 doubles). Monday is the nation's lone player to be ranked inside the ITA's top two in both singles (2) and doubles (2).
QUICK HITTERS
• Hudd's singles win Friday was Tennessee's 100th overall singles win of the 2022-23 season.

• Tennessee boasts a 51-5 (.911) record at home since the beginning of the 2020 dual season, including a 10-1 mark in 2023.
• Seven different Vols on UT's nine-man roster have clinched Tennessee's 13 wins this season, with Blaise Bicknell and Angel Diaz leading the team with three each. Hudd and Mitsui have clinched a pair of wins apiece this spring, with Monday, Martim Prata and Boris Kozlov each clinching once this season.
