KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The No. 15-ranked Tennessee women's tennis team is set to compete in the 2021 SEC Women's Tennis Tournament held in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
The Lady Vols (14-7, 8-5 SEC) enter the week as the No. 5 seed in the bracket
UT opens the tournament with Mississippi State, who defeated Alabama on Monday.

Last Time Out: The Lady Vols dropped their final match of the regular season on the road to Texas A&M.
Last Time Against MSU: The Lady Vols and Mississippi State (11-11, 3-11) met in Starkville, Mississippi. MSU took the hard-fought match 4-3.
UT is 37-11 against Mississippi State all-time and owns a 5-1 advantage when the squads meet at a neutral site.
In the Record Books: Senior Johanna Silva claimed her 86th career win last week against Texas A&M to tie her in 15th place in career solo wins in Lady Vol History.
The senior has been stout in her curtain call on Rocky Top posting an 8-4 record in dual match play and an impressive 8-1 mark against SEC opponents.
New Vol, Big Impact: Junior Daria Kuczer has been dynamic in her debut season in Orange and White.
In dual match play, the transfer by-way-of Pepperdine has amassed an impressive 17-1 dual-match record and is 10-1 in SEC play.
Kuczer also holds the No. 27 ranking on the ITA doubles list with freshman Esther Adeshina. The duo hold a 10-9 record together.
Home Sweet Home: The Lady Vols were the only Southeastern Conference team to conclude the 2021 dual-match season with a perfect home record. The squad went a perfect 11-0 to mark the fourth time in program history that UT has recorded a perfect season on Rocky Top.
Individually, senior Tenika McGiffin was electric at home posting a spotless 11-0 record. The senior has had an electric fourth year on Rocky Top, posting a 14-4 dual-match record and is 9-3 against SEC opponents.
