November 09, 2020 | Men's Golf
VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. – The Tennessee men's golf team held steady Monday during round two of the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate, remaining in fourth place entering the third and final round of play.
The Vols shot 3-under 277 for the day on Monday, bringing their two-round total to 9-under. For the second day in a row, Tennessee has three golfers inside the top 20 on the individual leaderboard.
"We let a few go at the end of the round today," head coach Brennan Webb said. "Another solid round by Jake Hall, which included him hitting all 18 greens in regulation.
"We need to have all five guys in the game tomorrow and get some momentum going to finish out a great fall season."
For the second consecutive day in his debut tournament as a member of Tennessee's lineup, Jake Hall shot under par, carding a 2-under 68 on Monday. With four birdies on the day, Hall maintained his position as the Vols' best individual score, with a two-round tally of 6-under 134.
