WTEN CENTRAL: Lady Vols to Compete in 2019 USTA Fall Ranked Spotlight

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. –Four Lady Vols will represent the Tennessee women's tennis program in the 2019 USTA Fall Ranked Spotlight. The three-day event in Orlando, Fla. is set to begin on Friday, Sept. 27 at 9 a.m.
"This weekend's event at the USTA National Campus will prove to be one of the strongest events in the fall season," said head coach Alison Ojeda. "The draws consist of a very high level of competition and each match will be another opportunity to grow."
Making the trip to the USTA National Campus for Tennessee is Tenika McGiffin, Rebeka Mertena, Johanna Silva and Kaitlin Staines.
Both Silva and Staines won their individual brackets at the Debbie Southern Fall Classic. Silva individually went 2-0 on the weekend, winning the bracket by default. Staines went 3-0 individually in Furman, winning her final match in three sets (4-6, 6-4, 7-5).
