April 29, 2019 | Men's Tennis
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – After making a run to the SEC Championship final a week and a half ago, Tennessee learned its NCAA Tournament draw on Monday night.
The Vols (20-7) will stay home for the first two rounds of NCAAs as they host NCAA Regionals for the 11th time in program history and the first time since 2013 on May 3 and 4.
Tennessee's first round opponent will be Radford (17-6) on May 3 at 2 p.m. from Barksdale Stadium. The following day, the winner of that match will face the winner of the first-round matchup between NC State and Middle Tennessee.
The Vols are 1-0 all-time against Radford – winners of the Big South Conference – with the lone match coming back in 2011, a 4-0, win for the Big Orange.
This is UT's 28th appearance all-time in the NCAA Tournament and the second-straight appearance under second-year head coach Chris Woodruff.
"I knew we were going to play here," Woodruff said. "But as far as who was coming I wasn't sure. It's nice to host and it is a credit to the guys who put in all the work. It's been a long tough journey to get back to this building this time of year."
All-time, Tennessee is 44-27 in the tournament and it is 19-1 when playing in Knoxville for Regionals.
The main entrance to Barksdale Stadium is located off Caledonia Avenue. This entrance is for spectators and team guests and is the closest entrance to the tournament spectator parking lot, N12. Ticket sales at this entrance will begin one (1) hour prior to start. Will call is also located at this entrance. A second entrance is also located at the south side of the stadium, off Volunteer Boulevard.
ALL SEATS ARE GENERAL ADMISSION. Tickets are $5/day. Youth/Student* tickets are $3/day (12 and under, and school age through college). For more ticket information, visit HERE.
Tennessee's clear bag policy will be in effect.
