Turner Named to 2019 USA Softball Junior Women's National Training Team

OKLAHOMA CITY – Tennessee softball signee Callie Turner has been chosen to represent the United States as a member of the 2019 USA Softball Junior Women's National Training Team after a three-day selection process, USA Softball announced today.

Selected by the Women's National Team Selection Committee (WNTSC), these athletes will compete in select tournaments and invitational events before the final 17-player roster for the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-19 Women's Softball World Cup will be finalized.

Turner, a pitcher from Land O'Lakes, Fla. is ranked No. 15 in the FloSoftball Hot 100 and tied for 11th in the Extra Elite 100. She was a member of the 2018 TC/USA National Championship Team, while also being named the 2018 Florida 6A Pitcher of the Year and being selected as a First-Team Extra Inning Softball All-American.
