Vols Wrap Up ITA All-American Pre-Qualifying

TULSA, Okla. -- The Tennessee men's tennis program wrapped up the pre-qualifying round of the Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championhips Sunday afternoon at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

Redshirt senior Preston Touliatos (Birmingham, Ala.) opened the day with his third-straight singles victory, topping Buffalo's Hao Sheng Koay 6-4, 6-0 to advance to the final round of pre-qualifying. The Tennessee co-captain fell to Jake Devine (USC) in a three-set battle, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 to end his run in the ITA All-American singles bracket.

Volunteer rookie Pat Harper (Brisbane, Australia) earned a win in consolation, defeating Stefano Di Aloy of Georgia Southern in straight sets, 6-2, 7-5. UT junior Luca Wiedenmann (Munich, Germany) suffered his first loss of the tournament to Georgia Tech's Andrew Li, 6-1, 6-3.

Tennessee continues ITA All-American action Monday with four players competing in singles and doubles qualifying. Aussie Vols Adam Walton and Scott Jones will participate in the singles draw, while UT's senior captain pairing of Touliatos and Timo Stodder will make their season debut in qualifying doubles.
