Tennessee opens up Southeastern Conference play with a roadtrip to Auburn
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee volleyball team opens up Southeastern Conference play on the road traveling to Auburn, Ala.
The Lady Vols wrapped up their non-conference slate last weekend at the Dayton Flyer Invitational going 2-1 on the weekend with wins over Ohio State and Evansville. Tennessee enters conference play with a record of 9-3 including wins over two top-25 opponents in No. 16 San Diego and No. 22 Michigan State.
Friday night's matchup with the Tigers can be seen on SEC Network+ at 8:00 p.m. (ET).
THE ONLY
Senior Erica Treiber is the only player in the SEC to rank in the top 10 in hitting percentage (.407/2nd), blocks per set (1.20/2nd) and aces per set (0.36/9th). She racked up nine of her team-high 16 aces last week in the Dayton Flyer Invitational including career-highs with four aces in the Dayton and Ohio State matches.

Sedona Hansen recorded her 14th double-double of the 2017 season and Callie Williams recorded her third double-double in a tough 3-1 (25-22, 23-25, 25-18, 25-20) loss to Auburn at Auburn Arena.
Brooke Schumacher recorded 26 digs, surpassing the 1,000 career digs mark. Grubbs finished with a team-high 10 kills.
STANDOUT STAT
Junior outside hitter Tessa Grubbs will be looking for her 11th double-digit kill game of the season which leads the team. With 11 kills in the match, she will have 700 in just two and a half seasons as a Lady Vol.
TREIBER
With the help of a .407 hitting percentage season thus far, Treiber is just the second player in program history to average .350 hitting percentage in her career. Beverly Robinson (1982-83) is the only other at .359 in her career.
HANSEN
The Wrightwood, Calif. native is just 63 assists away from becoming the ninth player in program history in the 2000 assist club.

Tennessee returns home to Thompson-Boling arena for the first time since Sept. 1 opening up its SEC home slate against No. 20 Kentucky. This season the Lady Vols are perfect at home with a record of 6-0 including a win over No. 22 Michigan State to open the season.
First serves is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. (ET) with the tilt against the Wildcats airing on SEC Network.

- Tennessee battled back from a 2-1 set deficit to force a fifth frame before dropping a closely contested final frame to the host Flyers.
- Senior Erica Treiber set a new career-high with four aces in the match, finishing with 12 kills and no errors on 20 swings.

- The Lady Vols claimed their second win over a Big Ten team this season defeating the Buckeyes in four sets. Treiber closed out the match on the service line with three consecutive aces in the fourth frame.
- The senior middle blocker hit a season-high .600 recording 12 kills in the match. It was her second consecutive match without recording a hitting error.

- The Lady Vols swept the Purple Aces in commanding fashion, hitting a season-high .400 as a team in the win.
- Freshman outside hitter Raquel Perinar had her second double-digit kill game in her career recording a team-high 13 while hitting a career-best .500 on 22 total swings. Sedona Hansen notched her second double-double of the weekend (33 assists and 11 digs) while tying her career-high with five kills.
