SOCCER CENTRAL: at Ole Miss

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – No. 19 Tennessee will travel to Oxford, Miss. this week for their first SEC road match of the season at Ole Miss. Kickoff between the Volunteers and Rebels is set for 7 p.m. ET on Thursday, Sept. 20 at the Ole Miss Soccer Stadium.
Thursday's matchup will be broadcast live on SEC Network+, available online and through the WatchESPN app. Live stats will also be provided via StatBroadcast.
LAST TIME OUT: The Vols opened the conference slate Sunday evening at home, falling to No. 15 South Carolina 2-0. It was UT's first loss of the season and the first time Tennessee had been held scoreless in 2018.
SEC ROAD OPENERS: Tennessee owns a 9-11-2 record in SEC road openers since the program's inception in 1996. Last season, the 21st-ranked Vols fell at No. 3 South Carolina 1-0 in overtime to snap a 10-match unbeaten streak.
SCOUTING OLE MISS: The Rebels enter Thursday's matchup 7-3-0 under 9th-year head coach Matt Mott. Ole Miss recently fell 2-0 to Memphis after defeating Alabama on the road 1-0 in its SEC opener.
Ole Miss ranks fourth in the league in scoring offense, averaging 2.70 goals per game. Senior forward CeCe Kizer ranks third in the nation and leads the SEC with 9 goals and 22 points on the season.
SERIES HISTORY: The Vols have dominated the all-time series with a 15-4-2 record against the Rebels since 1997. Tennessee has suffered just one loss to Ole Miss in the last 15 years, going 12-1-2 in the series since 2003.
