KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – No. 11 Tennessee opens Southeastern Conference play at home this weekend as the Vols host No. 15 South Carolina Sunday evening. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Regal Soccer Stadium.
Admission and parking for all matches at Regal Soccer Stadium is free of charge. Gates will open at 4 p.m., and fans should be reminded that UT's clear bag policy will be in effect.
The top-15 matchup will nationally televised on ESPNU, with Mike Watts and former North Carolina Tar Heel Cat Whitehill on the call. The broadcast will be available online at this link, while live stats will be provided via SIDEARM Stats.
Sunday's match features a Tennessee Soccer scarf giveaway for the first 500 fans in attendance. Other promotions include 'Soccer Sundae' – the first 100 kids in the gate will receive a voucher for a scoop of ice cream and access to a toppings bar. UT Fan Experience will also be putting on a free Kids' Corner prior to the match.
LAST TIME OUT: Tennessee logged its fourth-straight shutout as the Vols picked up their first road win of the season Thursday at ETSU, defeating the Buccaneers 4-0. Senior striker Bunny Shaw tallied her fifth-career multi-goal performance with a brace in her first match back from World Cup qualifying with the Jamaican Women's National Team.
DONUTS FOR SHAE: Tennessee goalie Shae Yanez has gone 418 minutes and 34 seconds without allowing a goal since UT's 1-1 draw at Wake Forest on Aug. 23. Yanez leads the SEC with a 0.14 goals-against average while ranking second in the league in save percentage (.929) and fourth in shutouts (4).
10-DAY BREAK: The Vols will have gone 10 days without a match when the SEC opener against South Carolina kicks off. UT's in-state contest at Tennessee Tech (originally slated for Sunday, Sept. 9) was canceled due to inclement weather.
TOP-15 MATCHUP: Sunday's match will be the first top-15 contest for the Vols since Sept. 25, 2011, when No. 12 Tennessee defeated No. 6 Florida at home, 4-2.

BALANCED ATTACK: Six Tennessee players have scored two or more goals through the first seven matches. Amy Thompson leads the charge with three goals this season, while Anna Bialczak, Katie Cousins, Danielle Marcano, Bunny Shaw and MA Vignola have each scored twice for the Vols.
SHUTOUT STREAK: UT has forced four-straight shutouts with victories over Xavier (3-0), Wright State (2-0), UT Martin (2-0) and ETSU (4-0). The Tennessee program record for consecutive shutouts is five, set in 2011 from Aug. 28 – Sept. 16.
SERIES HISTORY: Although UT holds a 12-9-2 edge in the all-time series, South Carolina has topped Tennessee in nine of the last 10 matchups. The Vols last defeated the Gamecocks on Oct. 5, 2012, 1-0 as Caroline Brown scored the game-winner on the road.
The Vols hold a slight 35-32 advantage in goal differential over the Gamecocks across 23 matches. 16 of those 23 contests have been decided by one goal or fewer.
In last season's meeting between the two programs, No. 21 Tennessee fell at No. 3 South Carolina 1-0 in overtime to end a 10-match unbeaten streak for the Vols. Lauren Chang tallied the golden goal on a free kick in the 95th minute.
