Toledo would answer with two runs in the third to take the lead. With two outs in the inning, Megan Coate came to bat and tied the score with a shot over the left center fence. Kylie Norwood then reached on an error and was brought home on a Ashley Rausch single and a throwing error as the Rockets took a 2-1 edge into the bottom half.
Tennessee answered right back as Seggern hit her second double of the game that scored Aubrey Leach from second, tying the game at 2-2.
The Lady Vols pulled ahead in the fourth inning with four runs. CJ McClain and Leach hit back-to-back singles to get things going, and a bunt single from Jenna Holcomb scored McClain and put UT back on top. After Gregg walked to load the bases, Seggern drilled a single up the middle to bring around Leach and Holcomb. Pinch runner Treasury Poindexter capped off the inning with a run on an error to make it 6-2.
