KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee baseball continues its nine-game homestand this weekend with a three-game series against UNC Greensboro starting on Friday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Â

The Vols have won two straight heading into Friday's series opener against the Spartans after a 13-6 win over Maryland on Sunday and an 8-5 victory over Lipscomb on Tuesday.
Projected Starting Pitchers
Friday's series opener will be the first-ever meeting on the diamond between the Vols and Spartans. Tennessee is 65-28 all-time against teams from the Southern Conference.

Clear Bag Policy
In order to enhance safety and expedite fan entry at Tennessee athletic events, UT has implemented a clear bag policy at Lindsey Nelson Stadium and all other athletic facilities. Only one clear bag no larger than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches (gallon size) per person is permitted. Fans are also allowed a small clutch purse not exceeding 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches.
Stadium Entry
Please be aware that gates will not open until 90 minutes prior to game time as opposed to two hours like it has been in years past.
Parking
Baseball parking is located in Lots G16, GF2, GF3, GF4, and C22. (Thompson-Boling Arena and Neyland Stadium events have priority if on same days as baseball games.)
Additional parking is located on the street along Todd Helton Drive. Parking for MVP ticket holders is located in Lot GF1 and handicap parking is located in marked handicap spaces on Pat Head Summitt Drive and G16 Garage.
**The G16 garage will charge for event parking this Sunday starting at noon for all non MVP seat holders. We encourage all others to park in the GF lots, which will be free.

- Tennessee first-year head coach Tony Vitello earned his first victory as a head coach in last Sunday's series finale against Maryland as the Vols avoided the series sweep with a 13-6 win.
- Tennessee hit grand slams in back-to-back games in wins over Maryland and Lipscomb last week, marking the first time that has happened at UT since 1996 when the Vols hit slams in consecutive games on March 12 and March 13 vs. UT Martin.
- The Big Orange have already hit five home runs this season in only four games. It took the Vols eight games to reach that mark last season.
- Tennessee sophomore Andre Lipcius leads the Vols and ranks fifth in the SEC with eight RBIs through four games. He became the first UT player since Nick Senzel in 2016 to drive in six runs in a single game, doing so in Sunday's series finale vs. Maryland.
- Sophomore leadoff man Jay Charleston is already 5-5 on stolen base attempts this season - which is tied for the SEC lead - and has hit a pair of home runs after not recording any extra-base hits in 25 games played as a freshman.
- Freshman third baseman Wyatt Stapp has been impressive over his first four collegiate games and leads the team with a .417 batting average, five walks and a .588 on-base percentage. Â
- Fellow freshman Zach Daniels recorded his first-career hit in Tuesday's win over Lipscomb, blasting a grand slam in the third inning. Daniels is the first UT freshman to hit a grand slam since Nick Senzel in 2014.
- UT's 13 runs scored in last Sunday's series finale is the most the team has scored in a game since scoring 14 vs. Belmont on May 9, 2017. The 16 hits accumulated by the Vols in that same game were the most since recording 17 base knocks vs. UC Irvine on Feb. 25, 2017.

- Through four games this season, junior Cesar Trejo leads the team with two home runs, eight RBIs and a 1.133 slugging percentage. UNCG is batting .377 as a team.
- Projected Friday starter Matt Frisbee was a second-team preseason All-SoCon selection after going 8-4 with a 4.10 ERA and 74 strikeouts as a sophomore last season.
- Spartans' top reliever Andrew Wantz is off to a hot start after earning two of the teams three victories this season. He has given up just two hits in five scoreless innings while striking out seven batters.
