VOLLEYBALL CENTRAL: vs. No. 13 Florida

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – No. 22 University of Tennessee volleyball team will have its second ranked vs. ranked match in as many weeks as it hosts No. 13 Florida on Wednesday.

The Lady Vols (23-5, 14-2 Southeastern Conference) are coming off their ninth-straight victory, defeating the Arkansas Razorbacks in four sets on Sunday. Tennessee won the last match when both teams were ranked in 2011 when the Lady Vols defeated the Gators in four sets inside of Thompson-Boling Arena.

Florida (23-5, 14-2 SEC) enters the midweek match tied with Tennessee for second in the Southeastern Conference standings, winning its last four matches in conference play. The Gators boast the top blocking numbers in the conference as they average 1.83 blocks/set which also ranks 12th in the nation.

The match will air on SEC Network+ with the first serve scheduled for 5:00 p.m. (ET) in Thompson Boling Arena.

IN SEARCH OF HISTORY
Senior Erica Treiber enters the match with a career hitting percentage of .359 which is tied for the best mark in program history with Beverly Robinson (1983-84). Treiber has been helped by a career-best .400 hitting percentage this season which includes six of the last seven matches of .400 or better hitting percentage. She currently leads the conference in hitting percentage while averaging 2.86 kills/set.

Senior Brooke Schumacher enters the match needing 21 digs to tie Kylie Marshall (2006-09) for fourth in program history with 1,374 digs. Over the course of the season, she has accumulated 272 digs and has averaged 3.13 digs per set.

Sedona Hansen recorded her 13th double-double of the 2017 season with 10 assists and 17 digs for the Lady Vols. Breana Jeter led the team with eight kills and a .263 hitting percentage as Tennessee fell to the eventual NCAA runner-up.

STANDOUT STAT
The Lady Vols enter Wednesday with a record of 5-1 record in its last six ranked vs. ranked matchups. This includes a win last week against Missouri in four sets and a victory over Florida in 2011 which the Lady Vols won in four sets in Knoxville, Tenn.

DOUBLE-DOUBLE MACHINE
Junior Sedona Hansen recorded two double-doubles last week in wins over No. 23 Missouri and Arkansas. She was the only player in the conference to have two double-doubles last week and now leads all SEC setters with 13 on the season which also ranks third among all players in the conference.

In her career, Hansen has recorded 45 double-doubles in her three-year career which is 41 more than any other Lady Vol on the roster.

TREIBER
Treiber is the only Power-5 player to rank in the top nine in their conference in hitting percentage (.400/1st), blocks per set (1.02/8th) and aces per set (0.38/5th).

Her 41 service aces this season is the most by any Tennessee player since 2011 and is only three service aces away from setting a new single-season record in the 25-point rally scoring era with the current record being 44 by Kelsey Robinson (2011).

The Lady Vols return home for the final two matches of the regular season with a midweek match-up vs. No. 14 Florida set for Wednesday in Thompson-Boling Arena. Both teams are currently tied for second in the conference standings. The last time that both teams were ranked in 2011 Tennessee defeated the Gators in five sets.
